Daily maintenance plan for high-precision liquid mass flowmeter

As a key measuring equipment in industrial processes, high-precision liquid mass flow meters can directly and accurately measure the mass flow rate of liquids in pipelines, playing an irreplaceable role in multiple industries such as petroleum, chemical, and pharmaceutical. It is crucial to develop a scientifically reasonable daily maintenance plan to ensure its long-term stable operation and measurement accuracy.

1、 Daily inspection

Perform a daily visual inspection of the flowmeter to check for any damage or corrosion to the instrument casing, as well as any loose or leaking connections. Check the display screen to ensure that the information is clear and complete, without garbled or abnormal display. At the same time, observe the surrounding environment of the instrument to ensure that there are no strong electromagnetic interference sources or severe vibration sources, and that the ambient temperature and humidity are within the specified range of the instrument.

2、 Regular cleaning

Regularly clean the measuring tube of the flowmeter according to the characteristics of the medium. For media that are prone to scaling and adhesion, clean them once a week or month; For cleaning media, the cleaning cycle can be appropriately extended. When cleaning, first close the front and rear valves of the flowmeter, empty the liquid in the pipe, use specialized cleaning tools or suitable solvents, gently wipe the inner wall of the measuring pipe, remove dirt and impurities, and avoid damaging the measuring pipe. After cleaning, ensure that there are no residual solvents or impurities inside the measuring tube, and then reinstall and activate it.

3、 Calibration and Calibration

Regular calibration and calibration of flow meters are key to ensuring measurement accuracy. It is generally recommended to conduct a comprehensive calibration every six months to one year, and adjustments can be made according to actual usage and accuracy requirements. During the calibration process, standard flow sources or measuring equipment with known accuracy are used to compare the measured values of the flowmeter at different flow points. Based on the comparison results, the flowmeter parameters are adjusted to ensure that the measurement error is within the allowable range.

4、 Electrical inspection

Regularly check the electrical connections of the flowmeter, check for any damage or aging of the cables, and ensure that the wiring terminals are not loose or oxidized. Use a multimeter or other tools to check if the power supply voltage is stable and if the signal output is normal. For flow meters with communication functions, check whether the communication lines are unobstructed, whether the communication protocol settings are correct, and ensure that the flow meter can communicate normally with the upper computer or other control systems.

5、 Backup and Recording

Establish a maintenance file for flow meters, detailing the time, content, identified issues, and solutions for each maintenance. At the same time, regularly backup the parameter settings and measurement data of the flowmeter to prevent data loss or parameter errors that may cause measurement abnormalities. During maintenance, if serious malfunctions or performance degradation of the flowmeter are found, contact the manufacturer or professional maintenance personnel for repair in a timely manner. Do not disassemble or repair it yourself to avoid causing greater damage.
