Integrated Temperature Transmitter Module Wiring Manual
Date: 2017-05-28Read: 11

1、 Overview

RC-801The series temperature transmitter module is a 4-20mA, two-wire DC output module designed for thermal resistance type (Pt100, Pt1000, Cu50, Cu100, etc.) temperature sensors. This module belongs to the local security explosion type and has strong protection functionsSuch as reverse power protection function and alarm output function when the sensing signal line is open circuit.Output current when sensor * is open circuit (not connected)≤3.6mA, If the negative wire of the sensor breaks during use, the output current≤3.6mA; when the positive line of the sensor is open circuited, the module is a protective output, and the maximum current is not greater than 25 ± 2mA。

2、 Technical indicators

4、 Verification steps

  • When calibrating, follow the typical wiring diagram above, connect the standard resistance box at the input end, connect a 24VDC stabilized power supply at the output end, and connect a standard ammeter in series.

2,Change the signal source generator (resistor box) to the lower limit of the range, adjust potentiometer Z to make the ammeter reading 4mA, change the signal source to the upper limit of the range, adjust potentiometer S to make the ammeter reading 20mA. Example: Input model Pt100, range 0-100℃The temperature transmitter. After correct wiring, the resistance box outputs 100 Ω. Adjust potentiometer Z to make the ammeter reading 4mA; the resistance box output reading is 138.50 Ω (i.e. the thermistor is at 100 Ω)℃Adjust potentiometer S to the resistance value corresponding to the time phase, so that the reading on the ammeter is 20mA.

5、 Precautions

  • Please check if the packaging is intact and verify if the transmitter model and specifications match the product you have purchased
  • After the wiring is checked and confirmed to be correct, power can be turned on
  • If the user finds that the displayed value deviates from the actual value after powering on, this is a normal phenomenon (the transmitter is adjusted by a potentiometer, and it is inevitable to move and change the resistance value during transportation). At this point, it is only necessary to verify that the zero point is full, and follow the steps of the reference calibrator to operate.
