Integrated temperature sensors are widely used in various fields such as meteorological observation, environmental control, agriculture, and industrial production due to their high precision, strong stability, and easy installation. However, the accuracy of sensors is easily affected by environmental interference, component aging, and other factors, and requires systematic maintenance and scientific management to ensure their long-term stable operation. The key measures to maintain the accuracy of integrated temperature sensors are explained from four dimensions: installation, calibration, environmental adaptation, and daily maintenance.
1、 Scientific installation: Avoiding physical interference and optimizing measurement conditions
The installation position directly affects the heat exchange efficiency between the sensor and the measured medium. Avoid placing sensors near strong electromagnetic fields (such as frequency converters and motors) to prevent signal interference; At the same time, stay away from corrosive gas or liquid environments. If exposure to harsh conditions is necessary, chooseIP65The above protection level products are equipped with protective covers. For measuring gas temperature inside pipelines, sensors should be installed in reverse flow to ensure sufficient contact with the medium; When measuring storage tanks, it is necessary to avoid blind spots and layered areas, and the insertion depth should reach the diameter of the pipeline1/3Above, to reduce thermal conduction errors.
Metal protective tubes have excellent thermal conductivity and are suitable for scenarios that require deep insertion; Ceramic protective tubes have strong insulation properties and can shorten the insertion depth. In addition, during installation, it is necessary to ensure that the sensor is in full contact with the measured medium to avoid prolonging the thermal equilibrium time due to poor contact. For example, in high-temperature melt measurement, the deposition of slag on the sensor surface increases thermal resistance and requires regular cleaning to maintain accuracy.
2、 Accurate calibration: Establish data benchmarks and correct system errors
Calibration is the core means of eliminating manufacturing errors and long-term drift in sensors. High precision standard temperature sources (such as constant temperature baths) are required for multi-point calibration and verification4-20mAOutput type sensor at lower range limit(4mA)Compared to the upper limit(20mA)The corresponding temperature value. For sensors with zero drift, the zero offset parameter needs to be adjusted when there is no input signal; Establish a mathematical model between the output signal and the actual temperature using linear fitting techniques to correct nonlinear errors.
The calibration cycle needs to be dynamically adjusted according to the application scenario: it is recommended to calibrate once a month in high-precision fields such as medical and aerospace, and can be extended to six months or one year in ordinary industrial scenarios. After calibration, a log should be established to record environmental conditions, error values, and adjustment parameters, providing a basis for long-term performance tracking. for example, inLabVIEWIn the development environment, calibration formulas can be generated through external calibration tools to achieve real-time correction of sensor data.
3、 Environmental adaptation: isolate interference sources to ensure stable operation
Temperature sensors are highly sensitive to environmental conditions and require a protective system to be constructed from three aspects: electromagnetic, mechanical, and climatic. In terms of electromagnetic compatibility design, shielded cables, isolation transformers, and filtering circuits are used to reduce interference caused by the co installation of power cables and sensors. In terms of mechanical protection, avoid excessive bending or pulling of cables to prevent internal wire breakage; High temperature compensation wires should be selected for high-temperature environments, and heat dissipation space should be reserved.
In terms of climate adaptability, the working temperature range of sensors is usually-40℃to50℃The humidity needs to be controlled withinRHfollowing. In humid environments, it is necessary to regularly check the sealing of the casing to prevent moisture from entering and causing a decrease in insulation performance. For example, the food industry needs to use food grade cleaning agents to wipe the surface of the probe to avoid oil pollution affecting measurement accuracy.
4、 Daily maintenance: preventive inspections to extend service life
Daily inspections should focus on the sealing of the casing and abnormal codes on the display screen (such asErr1Indicating sensor open circuit and cable connection status. Clean the surface of the probe with a soft cloth every quarter to remove dust or scale buildup; For melt measurement scenarios, it is necessary to regularly remove the slag deposited on the surface of the protective tube to prevent an increase in thermal resistance.
When troubleshooting, the first step is to check the stability of the power supply voltage (usually12-36V DC)Next, check if the sensor resistance is within the nominal range (e.gPT100In0℃When is100Ω). If the output signal drifts, it is necessary to verify whether the ambient temperature is uniform and avoid measuring in areas with significant thermal gradients such as metal surfaces. Establishing equipment archives and recording calibration and maintenance data can significantly improve fault response efficiency.
The accuracy maintenance of integrated temperature sensors requires a full lifecycle of installation, calibration, environmental control, and maintenance. Through scientific site selection, precise calibration, environmental isolation, and preventive maintenance, error sources can be effectively reduced to ensure that sensors continue to provide reliable data under complex working conditions, providing solid support for industrial production and environmental monitoring.
