Thermal conductivity gas analyzer has high sensitivity and can accurately detect low concentration gases
Date: 2025-10-14Read: 8
Thermal conductivity gas analyzer is an instrument based on the principle of thermal conductivity variation of gases, used for detecting and analyzing gas components. It has a wide range of applications in many industrial settings, especially in environmental monitoring, industrial production process control, and gas leak detection.

Thermal conductivity gas analyzerThe structural composition of:
1. Gas sample intake system: This system is used to introduce the gas sample to be analyzed. The gas intake system usually includes an intake pipeline, a gas filter, and a flow control device to ensure stable entry of gas samples into the analysis chamber.
2. Heating element: Heating elements are usually made of metal wires or ceramic materials, and their function is to heat gas, causing a temperature difference and thus changing the thermal conductivity of the gas.
3. Temperature sensor: Temperature sensors are used to monitor the temperature changes of gas flowing through heating elements. Commonly used sensors include thermocouples and platinum resistance temperature sensors (RTDs).
4. Detection element (detector): This element is used to measure changes in gas thermal conductivity and calculate the concentration of the gas. Common detectors include gas thermal conductivity detection components, differential thermal conductivity detectors, etc.
5. Signal processing system: The signal processing system amplifies, filters, and processes the signals from temperature sensors and detection components, generating digital signals for further analysis.
6. Display and output system: This system displays gas analysis results and can output data in the form of numbers, charts, or reports for further analysis or archiving.
Application fields:
1. Environmental monitoring: In environmental monitoring, it is mainly used to detect certain gas components in the air, such as carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, methane, etc. By monitoring the concentration changes of these gases in real time, it can help detect environmental pollution in a timely manner and provide scientific basis for environmental protection.
2. Industrial production: Many industrial processes involve the use or emission of gases, such as chemical, petroleum, metallurgical and other industries. Capable of detecting changes in gas composition during the production process, ensuring the stability and safety of the production process. For example, in the petrochemical industry, it is commonly used to detect the concentration of hydrogen, helium, and other gases.
3. Gas leak detection: Gas leaks may pose significant safety hazards during the production and storage of some hazardous chemicals. Can be used to detect and locate gas leakage sources, detect problems in advance and take measures.
4. Laboratory analysis: It is also widely used in scientific research laboratories for gas analysis, helping researchers study the properties and composition of gases.
Advantages of Thermal Conductivity Gas Analyzer:
1. High sensitivity: It can quickly respond to changes in gas concentration, has high sensitivity, and can accurately detect low concentration gases.
2. Fast response speed: Due to the direct and rapid changes in thermal conductivity, the response speed is fast and real-time monitoring can be achieved.
3. Simple structure and high reliability: Compared with other gas analysis instruments, the structure is relatively simple, does not require complex optical or chemical reactions, has high reliability, and requires less maintenance work.
4. Wide applicability: It can detect various gases, including inert gases, flammable gases, etc., so it has applications in many different industries and occasions.
