A potentiostat is a device that controls the potential between a pair of electrodes and measures the resulting current. Then use the generated electrochemical diagram to determine various parameters related to the experiment.
The dual electrode potentiostat uses a working electrode and a counter electrode. The disadvantage of this arrangement is that if the distance between the electrodes is far, the resistance between them will increase and the current will decrease. Therefore, if the electrode surface area or separation distance changes, it is difficult to obtain reproducible electrochemical results. The polarographic oxygen electrode meter is an example of a dual electrode potentiostat. Our dual electrode potentiostat is as follows:
EPU352USB biosensor isoPod
EPU354dO2isoPod
EP352Biosensor Isopod(Used in conjunction with ER466 potentiostat or electronic recorder system)
EP354dO2isoPod(Used in conjunction with ER466 potentiostat or electronic recorder system)
An electrode potentiostat is commonly referred to as a 'potentiostat'. By using a "3-electrode" potentiostat, it is possible to monitor the potential between two reference electrodes and the working electrode that are very close to each other, while adjusting the potential of the relatively distant auxiliary electrode. Measure the current between the working electrode and the auxiliary electrode. The advantage of doing so is that there is actually no current passing through the reference electrode, so no electrolytic reaction occurs there, and the reference electrode potential can be kept constant throughout the entire experimental process. The result of this arrangement is that the potential between the working electrode and the auxiliary electrode ("compliant" potential, usually not reported) can be many times the applied potential (depending on the electrolyte resistance and the distance between the electrodes). By connecting the reference and auxiliary inputs of the potentiostat to the same "counter" electrode, a three electrode potentiostat can be used as a two electrode potentiostat. All of the following potentiometers can operate as 3-electrode potentiometers.
ER466Integrated potentiostat(± 100 mA to ± 20 nA, 16 bit resolution per range)
ER467High current potentiostat(± 1.0 A to ± 20 nA, 16 bit resolution per range)
EA164QuadStat(± 10 mA to ± 20 pA, 16 bit resolution per range)
EA163Potentiostat(± 100 mA to ± 20 nA, 16 bit resolution per range)
EA362Double micro resistor(± 10 µ A to 1 pA, 16 bit resolution per range)
SP100Zive potentiostat(± 1 A to ± 100 nA, 16 bit resolution per range)
The dual potentiostat system has a reference electrode, an auxiliary electrode, and two working electrodes, whose potentials can be independently adjusted while monitoring the current flowing through them. This principle can be extended to any number of working electrodes, such as EA164QuadStatUp to four working electrodes can be controlled. Usually, the potential between the reference electrode and the first working electrode is controlled, and the potential of subsequent working electrodes is offset relative to the first electrode to achieve the desired effect. These potentiometers are commonly used in "electrochemical nose" systems.
An electrode potentiostat typically refers to a device with two reference ("voltage sensing") electrodes and two working ("current passing") electrodes. Control the potential difference between two reference electrodes while monitoring the current between two working electrodes. These potentiometers are typically used to measure the electrochemical current across a membrane that separates two compartments or across the interface of two immiscible solvents (ITES experiment). EA362Double PicostatCan be used in 4-electrode mode. EA167Dual reference adapterMost three electrode potentiometers can be converted to a four electrode system.
Some potentiometers can be used as constant current meters. In this case, the current is controlled while the potential is monitored. The following is a potentiostat that works as a constant current meter:

ER467High current potentiostat
