The total scale of hot water desalination construction has reached 305000 tons/day, of which the first phase has successfully built 7 sets of 15000 ton/day facilities, and the second phase has ambitiously planned 8 sets of 25000 ton/day facilities. This scale is not only leading in China, but also the largest scale hot water flash evaporation seawater desalination project in the world.

In terms of technical support for the project, Shanghai Electric has provided F-MED process package, hot water flash evaporation integrated device design technology, and overall solutions with its professional skills and rich experience. Of particular note is that the project fully utilizes the hot water waste heat resources generated during the refining process. Through advanced thermal seawater desalination technology, these waste heat resources that could have been wasted can be efficiently reused, not only reducing water production costs, but also achieving the ultimate utilization of resources. According to calculations, the cost of producing water per ton for this project is less than 3 yuan/ton, and the economic benefits are very significant.
