Product Introduction

Lightning arrester and cable withstand voltage testerIt is our company's highly reliable, high-grade, and truly portable testing equipment. It is an ideal testing instrument for DC high voltage testing of zinc oxide lightning arresters, power cables, generators, transformers, switches, and other equipment in power departments, factories, mines, and power plants.

Product Features

① Smaller in size, lighter in weight, more aesthetically pleasing, more reliable, easier to operate, and fully functional, it is an ideal replacement product for the power system in the 21st century.

② Manufacturing using advanced process technology. Pulse train logic array modulation, using high-power IGBT devices and phase fuzzy control, resulting in higher output stability, smaller ripple, and a frequency of up to 100kHz.

③ According to the maintenance free design, the main components are made of imported components from Germany, the United States, and Japan, which are durable and not afraid of continuous short circuit discharge to ground.

④ High precision and accurate measurement, the output voltage regulation adopts a single multi turn potentiometer, the boosting process is smooth, and the adjustment accuracy is high. The instrument has high and low voltage ends to measure leakage current, and the high voltage end is displayed by a wireless spherical shielded digital meter Remote reading of current data Download the mobile app (requires additional purchase) Not afraid of discharge shock. Good anti-interference performance, suitable for on-site use.

⑤ The voltmeter on the control box directly displays the voltage value applied to the load test sample, without the need for an external voltage divider during use. The wiring is simple and the operation is convenient.

⑥ Negative polarity output, zero start, continuously adjustable, with various protection functions such as overvoltage, overcurrent, return to zero, and disconnection protection. Strong automatic protection function, safe operation, and various technical indicators are superior to industry standards and similar products.

⑦ With 75% functionality, measuring zinc oxide lightning arresters brings great convenience. There is a 75% voltage switch function on the control box of this instrument. When the current rises to 1000uA, press the 75% button, and the values displayed on the voltmeter and ammeter will be 75% of the data. After completion, immediately return the boost knob to the zero position and adjust the voltage knob to the zero position. And immediately turn 75% of the ammonium button switch to the normal position before conducting other tests.

Operation Manual

The display lights, switches, knobs, etc. on the control box have been clearly labeled. When reading this operating instruction, please refer to the names of the components on the panel of the control box.

There are seven core sockets on the side of the high-voltage tower chassis for connecting control box cables, and copper terminals on the side of the chassis for connecting ground wires.

The accompanying high-voltage shielded ammeter is a digital microampere meter, and the socket on the top of the meter is a wire socket for connecting the test sample. It also serves as a power switch. When not in use, please unplug the plug to automatically turn off the power. When replacing the battery, please open the screws on the top cover, and after replacement, please fasten the cover and tighten it with screws. Open the back cover of the flat dial watch when replacing the battery.

1. Connect the grounding terminal on the control box panel to the grounding terminal of the high-voltage tower with a grounding wire, and firmly connect it to the grounding wire on site or in the laboratory. To ensure the safety of you and the equipment, please measure the resistance value of the grounding wire before the test to prevent the grounding wire from being blocked and burning out the instrument. It is necessary to repeatedly check the grounding wire to ensure that all parts are well grounded.

Connect the control box to the high-voltage tower using the provided five core cable, with the same quick aviation plug at both ends of the cable. Pay attention to aligning the notch on the side of the plug with the thick protrusion on the inside of the socket and inserting it clockwise. (Either end of the cable can be connected to the control box or high-voltage tower)

Connect the power cord, the power supply is single-phase AC 220V, power frequency 50Hz.

2. Turn on the power switch, and the power switch light (red light) and power on (green light) will turn on. At this point, turn the boost potentiometer knob counterclockwise to zero, then turn on the high voltage (red) light. At this point, turn the high voltage output adjustment knob clockwise to increase the high voltage. The voltmeter displays the voltage kV value on the load test sample, and the ammeter displays the sum of the current flowing through the test sample and all leakage currents, excluding the current of the built-in high voltage divider. The current in the control box is slightly higher than the current displayed on the high-voltage microampere meter, as the current in the control box includes all leakage currents from the internal voltage divider and air corona. The current is measured in microamperes (uA). The wireless microampere meter can be directly read using the mobile app, which is intuitive and clear. It needs to be purchased separately.

If the high voltage on display light (red light) does not light up when the power switch is turned on, it means that the high voltage output adjustment knob is not in the zero position. Please rotate this knob counterclockwise to the "zero position" and return the fine adjustment voltage knob to the zero position. At this time, adjust it clockwise again to increase the voltage.

3. If voltage regulation protection within the rated output voltage range is not required, the overvoltage protection setting knob should be turned clockwise to the maximum value. Otherwise, when the output voltage exceeds the rated output voltage, it will automatically protect and cut off the high voltage.

4. When overvoltage, overcurrent and other faults occur, the high voltage will automatically cut off, the high voltage display light (red light) will turn off, and the green display light will turn on. To restart, the high voltage output adjustment knob should be returned to the zero position, and the fine adjustment knob should also be returned to the zero position. Then turn off the power switch, and then turn on the power switch again to cut off the protection and restart the boost.

When shutting down during normal operation, first turn the high-voltage adjustment knob counterclockwise back to the zero position, then turn the fine adjustment voltage knob back to the zero position, and finally, turn off the power switch.

The power switch also serves as a protection reset switch, so when overvoltage and overcurrent protection is applied, the power switch should be turned off and then turned on to release the protection and resume voltage boosting.

5. When the load is a high-capacity load, in order to avoid triggering overcurrent protection due to excessive charging current, the boosting speed should be appropriately slowed down. After the experiment is completed, turn the output voltage adjustment knob counterclockwise to the zero position. At this time, the voltmeter still displays the voltage value on the test sample. Please wait for the test sample to discharge below 1KV through the high-voltage tower before using a grounding rod to ensure safety.
