Yangzhou Haiwo explains in detail the steps of transformer insulation test
The steps for transformer insulation test are as follows:
preparation:
Use a dry and clean cloth to wipe off the dirt on the surface of the transformer and ensure that its surface is dry.
Check the bushing of the transformer to confirm that there are no cracks or burns.
Prepare the necessary testing instruments, such as YB26171G insulation resistance tester, JY44C DC resistance tester, HVT35 ratio tester, DLT1503 dielectric loss tester, grounding wire, etc., and ensure that these instruments meet the requirements.
Clean the test leads and transformer insulation terminals to ensure that there are no impurities on the surface.
Record the relevant information of the transformer, such as model, capacity, insulation level, etc.
Connect the measurement circuit:
Connect the power cord of the testing instrument to the power socket to ensure that the power supply is functioning properly.
Connect the test leads to the corresponding sockets (such as L and N sockets) of the insulation tester and the insulation terminals of the transformer, ensuring a secure connection.
Set test parameters and conduct testing:
Choose the correct positive and negative connection method based on the grounding condition of the tested equipment.
Adjust the relevant settings of the testing instrument to the required testing parameters, such as testing voltage, testing time, etc.
Start testing, observe the display and indication of the testing instrument, and wait for the testing to be completed.
Read and record data:
After the test is completed, read and record the display data of the testing instrument, such as insulation resistance value, absorption ratio, polarization index, etc.
These data can be used to evaluate the insulation condition of transformers, such as whether there are issues with overall insulation moisture, component surface moisture and dirt, and concentrated defects in penetrability.
End the test and discharge:
Turn off the test power and ensure that the power indicator light is off.
Use a well grounded discharge rod to fully discharge the tested transformer to ensure safety.
Please note that the above steps are for general reference only, and the specific experimental steps may vary depending on different testing instruments and transformer types. When conducting insulation tests on transformers, relevant safety operating procedures and testing standards should be strictly followed to ensure the accuracy and safety of the tests.
