Precautions for using partial discharge detection withstand voltage test?
Date: 2021-11-16Read: 13

The partial discharge detector is mainly used for detecting partial discharge in high-voltage cables of 110kV and above. The tool is used to collect signals from the cable grounding box, and different types of tests are selected according to the on-site environment and requirements

1. Test personnel must correctly wear protective equipment that complies with safety regulations, such as pure cotton work clothes, safety helmets, insulated shoes, and high-voltage insulated gloves, for on-site testing.

2. Set up a closed safety fence in the on-site work area, and place all partial discharge test devices and tools inside the fence.

3. Test personnel must agree to receive training on standardized on-site test operations and communicate effectively in a timely manner.

Preparation work for synchronous partial discharge test of partial discharge test device

1. High voltage leads of pressure resistant equipment should be equipped with corrugated tubes;

2. The outdoor terminals of the test phase and non test phase of the voltage resistant cable should be equipped with voltage equalizing caps, and the non test phase terminals should be grounded;

3. The grounding system modification of the tested cable line:

1) Directly grounding the box to maintain its original state

2) Inside the cross interconnection box, remove the original cross interconnection copper bars and connect the upper and lower terminals of each phase with short-circuit wires to achieve phase specific short circuiting;

3) Remove all line protectors and copper bars connected to cable metal sleeves from the protective grounding box;

4) Change the double protection grounding box to phase separated short circuit.
