Imaging colorimeter can measure and analyze objects from different angles
Date: 2025-11-11Read: 7
The imaging colorimeter uses spectral technology and high-precision image sensors to achieve high-precision measurement and recording of object color and brightness. This is thanks to its strict CIE XYZ color filter matching design, ensuring the acquisition of true and accurate brightness and chromaticity data. It can measure the brightness and chromaticity data of millions of points in a short period of time, greatly improving the testing efficiency. All relevant data can be obtained in one photo, making it more convenient and efficient to analyze the luminescent characteristics of the product.
Having the ability to continuously measure and record changes in object color and brightness helps to promptly identify relevant issues and take appropriate measures. This is particularly important for quality monitoring during the production process; Being able to measure and analyze objects from different angles improves the accuracy and reliability of measurements. This is particularly important for items with complex shapes or uneven surface characteristics; Integrating traditional chromaticity measurement and camera detection functions, it can not only complete basic chromaticity measurement, but also achieve distribution measurement of the entire image. This is particularly suitable for measuring the uniformity of flat panel displays, measuring the brightness and chromaticity of automotive instrument displays, and other scenarios.

Measurement steps of imaging colorimeter:
1. Equipment preparation and installation
-Placing equipment: Place it on a stable workbench to avoid affecting measurement accuracy due to vibration.
-Connection line: Connect the power and data transmission lines correctly to ensure that the device can be powered on and transmit data normally.
-Power on initialization: Turn on the device power and wait for it to complete the initialization process. During this period, try to avoid touching the device lens to avoid interfering with the initialization settings or causing damage.
2. Preheating treatment: Preheat the brightness meter and standard light source in a constant temperature environment for more than 30 minutes to eliminate the influence of temperature on the measurement results.
3. Zero point calibration: adjust the zero point output of the luminance meter in a dark environment to make the reading of the equipment zero in the absence of light, so as to improve the accuracy of subsequent measurement.
4. Linearity testing: Use standard light sources with different brightness levels to verify the linear response of the brightness meter over the full range, ensuring that it can accurately reflect the actual brightness value at various brightness levels.
5. Parameter Setting and Test Preparation
-Select testing area and mode: Set relevant parameters on the device according to the testing requirements, such as testing area, measurement mode, etc. For example, if measuring a large area of illuminated surface, it may be necessary to choose an appropriate field of view; If analyzing specific colors, the chromaticity measurement mode should be adjusted accordingly.
-Adjust position and angle: Adjust the position and angle of the testing platform to ensure that the imaging colorimeter can accurately capture the luminescence of the tested object. For samples with irregular shapes or special installation methods, it may be necessary to try different angles and distances multiple times to find the optimal measurement position.
6. Start testing: Start the imaging colorimeter and let it test the target object. The device will capture the color information of each point on the image and analyze and process it. During the testing process, it is necessary to maintain a stable environment and avoid factors such as ambient light interference and personnel movement that may affect the measurement results.
7. Obtaining results and report generation: After the test is completed, the imaging colorimeter will generate a corresponding test report or data table, which includes specific values and distribution information of the brightness, chromaticity, and other related parameters of the tested object. Users can further analyze and apply this data.
