A gas detector is an instrument that can detect gases. So what are the requirements for selecting installation points for gas detectors?

When the detection point is located on the upwind side of the low-frequency wind direction of the release source, the distance between the combustible gas detection point and the release source should not be greater than 15 meters, and the distance between the toxic gas detection point and the release source should not be greater than 2 meters.

When the detection point is located on the downwind side of the annual minimum frequency wind direction of the release source, the distance between the combustible gas detection point and the release source should not be greater than 5 meters, and the distance between the toxic gas detection point and the release source should not be greater than 1 meter.

3. If the combustible gas release source is located in a closed or partially poorly ventilated semi open factory building, a detector can be installed every 15 meters, and the distance between the detector and any release source within its coverage area should not be greater than 7.5 meters. The distance between the toxic gas detector and the release source should not be greater than 1 meter.

4. If the release source of flammable or toxic gases that are lighter than air is located in a closed or partially poorly ventilated semi open factory building, in addition to installing a detector above the release source, a flammable or toxic gas detector should also be installed at the highest point in the factory where gases are prone to accumulate.
