Coriolis mass flowmeterDesign technical basis for measuring tubes. Most of the measuring tubes used in the early stages of mass flow meters were single tube flow tubes, which had the advantages of simple structure and good flow performance, but the disadvantages were poor stability and susceptibility to external mechanical vibrations and other interferences. At present, many manufacturers of mass flow meters that use single tube measuring tubes have changed the measurement vibration frequency to 680-1300Hz, which is basically different from the general mechanical vibration frequency on the working site. This can isolate some external vibration interference.
With the development of technology, the common type of mass flowmeter on the market is the dual tube type. The advantage of this is that it is easy to measure the phase difference caused by Coriolis force, but the disadvantage is that it puts higher requirements on the precision of process processing. At the same time, in order to overcome the interference of external vibrations as much as possible, some manufacturers, such as Xiamen Hongkong Automation Instrument Co., Ltd., have taken a different approach by designing quality flow meter products that use measuring tubes that are perpendicular to the relative position of the process pipeline, and the measuring tubes are made into various shapes such as triangles, flasks, and U-bends. The purpose is to reduce the rigidity of the flow meter pipeline, increase the stroke, increase the phase difference, and improve the measurement accuracy of the flow meter. Compared with straight pipes, the mass flow meter using bent measuring pipes under the same rigidity conditions can use pipes with thicker walls, which will reduce relative wear and improve product service life. However, straight or slightly curved flow pipes are easy to clean and have a relatively low installation height. Triangular flow meters are prone to accumulating media at bends, which can increase additional errors. Additionally, the size and weight of the flow meter are relatively larger, resulting in a higher installation height.
Therefore, in order to ensure the accuracy and stability of measurement, most mass flow meters use double tube measuring tubes that are more resistant to external vibrations. However, in some special requirements, such as limited installation dimensions on site and hygienic applications in the food industry, micro curved flow tube mass flow meters are preferred.
