On May 8th, 2023, Alicat ™ Scientific announced that starting today, most of Alicat's flow and pressure measurement and control products support the PROFINET industrial communication protocol.
Alicat Scientific, located in Tucson, Arizona, recently announced that it has upgraded PROFINET ™ Add Alicat mass flow controllers, pressure controllers, mass flow meters, and pressure sensors (currently not supported for BASIS, EPC, - X explosion-proof, handheld series products) to the industrial protocol. PROFINET provides high performance, real-time performance, and reliability to meet a wide range of application needs, including control, monitoring, data acquisition, diagnosis, and communication.
The PROFINET protocol is an extension of Ethernet technology that combines the advantages of both PROFIBUS and standard Ethernet. Automation engineers and integrators can now utilize Alicat instruments that support the PROFINET protocol for faster, more precise, and stable performance, meeting the increasingly demanding, flexible, and constantly changing demands of users' machines and factories.
The PROFINET industrial communication protocol of Alicat instruments has been certified to comply with the PROFI standard.
