The transformer should be able to enter and exit from the top or side door of the box. The noise level of a box type substation should not exceed the specified transformer noise level. Regardless of whether the box shell is made of metal or non-metal materials, the metal frame of the box body should have good grounding, grounding terminals, and marked with grounding symbols.

The box type substation is mainly cooled by natural wind circulation. Therefore, it is not allowed to illegally pile up objects around it, especially the transformer room door should not be blocked, and the attachments on the louver ventilation holes should be regularly removed to ensure that all electrical equipment does not exceed the maximum allowable temperature. After the low-voltage circuit breaker trips, the reason for the trip should be checked before trial operation. If the transmission is unsuccessful, ********** must search for the cause of the fault and eliminate it before power can be transmitted to prevent the accident from escalating. Zinc oxide lightning arrester should be installed in the high-voltage distribution room of the box type transformer, and the installation method should be easy to test, disassemble and replace

The grounding and neutral lines of the box type substation share the same grounding grid. The grounding grid is generally connected by driving grounding piles at the four corners of the foundation and then linking them together. There must be two reliable connections between the box type substation and the grounding grid. After the operation of the box type substation, the grounding connection should be checked regularly to ensure that it is not loose or corroded. Regularly measure the grounding resistance value, which should not exceed 4 Ω. The ring network switch, transformer, lightning arrester and other equipment in the high-voltage distribution equipment of the box type substation should be inspected and maintained regularly. Defects should be repaired in a timely manner, and insulation preventive tests should be conducted regularly. If the shutdown time of a box type substation exceeds 3 months, a comprehensive preventive test should be conducted before it is put back into operation. To replace a high-voltage fuse without breaking ability, the transformer must be powered off, and the mechanical interlock must be correctly released during operation, and an insulated operating rod must be used.

All incoming and outgoing cable holes of the box type substation should be sealed to prevent small animals from entering and causing accidents. The floor for placing the box type substation should be chosen at a higher height and not in a low-lying area to prevent rainwater from entering the box and affecting equipment operation. When pouring concrete platforms, gaps should be left on the high and low voltage sides to facilitate the laying of cables in and out. When excavating the foundation, if encountering a ground formed by the accumulation of garbage or humus, it is necessary to excavate to solid soil, then backfill with better soil and compact it, and then fill with concrete or ballast to ensure the stability of the foundation.
