The first council leadership structure of the Industrial Research Institute was elected at the meeting, with Mao Wenwen elected as the chairman and Song Yanyong and Shen Hao elected as vice chairmen. He emphasized that the council should keep in mind the original intention of the establishment of the institute, focus on the overall goal of "building platforms, producing results, cultivating industries, and strengthening support", scientifically plan medium and long-term development and annual key tasks, actively benchmark domestic and foreign institutions, continuously improve independent innovation and industrial support capabilities, and build the industrial research institute into a platform for progress and regional development services.Mao Zedong stated in his inauguration speech that the establishment of the Industrial Research Institute is an important measure to implement the national innovation driven strategy, as well as a key carrier for gathering resources, breaking through bottlenecks, and building new regional competitive advantages. As the "hometown of instruments and meters", Tianchang City has a strong industrial foundation, but still faces challenges such as chip dependence on imports and insufficient scene reliability. To this end, the Industry Research Institute will focus on two major directions: "intelligent instruments" and "special scenario applications", and strive to build a new innovation consortium of "demand driven collaborative research and development ecological empowerment".
