1、 Diagnosis of Cable Fault Nature

The diagnosis of cable fault nature refers to determining the type and severity of the fault, so that testing personnel can prescribe the right medicine and select appropriate cable fault ranging and positioning methods.

2、 Cable fault distance measurement

Cable fault distance measurement, also known as rough measurement, uses instruments to determine the fault distance at one end of the cable. The commonly used fault distance measurement methods on the testing site include classical bridge method (high-voltage bridge, low-voltage bridge) and modern traveling wave method (pulse method: low-voltage pulse method, high-voltage pulse method).

3、 Cable fault location

Cable fault location, also known as precise measurement, refers to finding the general direction of the fault point based on the fault distance measurement results and the path of the cable. Within a small range, the accurate location of the fault point is determined using discharge acoustic measurement or other methods.
