499 is a logic converter that can provide the correct logic type and/or pulse polarity for signals used to trigger events, as well as provide pulses that need to be counted, or time specific events for nuclear, optical, chemical, or biological processes in timing or counting applications.

    499 allows users to convert between two logical types; Fast negative NIM (negative 800 mV) and TTL (positive 2 V). Additionally, polarity can be easily switched. 499 has a total of 16 conversion channels.

    The upper part of 499 provides 8 fast negative NIM channels for TTL logic conversion. These eight channels are divided into two groups of four channel segments, which can be switched to standard or reverse output. The lower part of the module provides 8 TTL channels for fast negative NIM logic conversion, which are also divided into two sets of four channel segments that can be switched to standard or reverse output.

    The operating frequency from NIM to TTL is 60 MHz, while the operating frequency from TTL to NIM is 40 MHz. All outputs are DC coupled and have no duty cycle limitations. The output impedance is 50 Ω, connected to a 50 Ω load using a 50 Ω cable. The total delay of all channels is less than 10 ns.
