The 8-port intelligent RS-232 universal PCI communication card itself is actually a computer. This communication card integrates a DSP processor, which can take over the processing load of the host PC. When processing large amounts of data from multiple ports, only handling interrupt services consumes most of the CPU's performance. Can be used as a high-speed dedicated interrupt processor, with 1MB of SRAM, which can be used to store serial data and effectively reduce CPU load. When performing initialization, it downloads driver software (similar to PC BIOS) to the DSP on the card.
