Advantages of coke moisture analyzer
Using 2.40GHz low-frequency microwave (which can penetrate high-density and wide belts), the attenuation and phase change caused by the transmission of this wave through the measured medium are mainly determined by the dielectric constant and dielectric loss tangent of the medium. Water is a polar molecule, and its dielectric constant and dielectric loss tangent are higher than those of ordinary media. Usually, the dielectric constant and loss tangent of an aqueous medium are mainly determined by its moisture content. Microwaves emit energy from the microwave emitting probe located below the conveyor belt, and after passing through the belt and material, the remaining microwave energy is received by the microwave receiving probe at the upper end of the belt. Based on the attenuation of microwave power and changes in phase shift, as well as the calculation of instantaneous total mass using ultrasonic quality compensation probes, the moisture content of the material is calculated using the percentage content of total energy loss and total mass.
Due to the penetration of microwaves through the tested material, all physical moisture can be measured. This applies not only to surface moisture, but also to internal moisture! This technology improves measurement accuracy and precision, and the color and surface structure of the material, as well as water vapor and dust, will not affect the measurement results.
