A cable tray is a bracket that supports and holds cables. Cable trays are commonly used in engineering, as long as cables are laid. Cable trays are a supporting project for wiring engineering, and there is currently no specialized specification guidance. The specifications and programs of each manufacturer lack universality. Therefore, the design and selection process should be based on the type and quantity of cables in various weak current systems to reasonably select suitable cable trays. Cable trays have the characteristics of wide variety, wide application, high strength, light structure, low cost, simple construction, flexible wiring, standard installation, and beautiful appearance. Aluminum alloy bridge is made by extruding aluminum alloy, which has the characteristics of beautiful appearance, simple structure, and easy installation.
Aluminum alloy cable tray is suitable for overhead laying of power cables and electrical equipment wires indoors and outdoors in general industrial and mining enterprises, and can also be used as a channel for telecommunications cables and self-control conduit cables.
Aluminum cable trays are divided into three types: trough type, tray type, and step type.
1. Trough type bridge: It is composed of two columns supported on the crossbeam, and one end is connected to each branch with accessories such as bends or tees. The other end is supported on a wall or column (Figure 1), and the entire system can be replaced with the same column to meet construction requirements;
2. Tray type: consisting of a base, bracket, and cover plate, it can be horizontally tilted to any part of the building;
3. Structural form of bridge:
1. In engineering design, the layout of cable trays should be comprehensively compared based on factors such as economic rationality, technical feasibility, and operational safety to determine the plan. It should also fully meet the requirements of construction, installation, maintenance, and cable laying.
2. When the bridge is laid horizontally, the height from the ground is generally not less than 2.5m. When laid vertically, the part below 1.8m from the ground should be protected with a metal cover plate, except when laid in an electrical dedicated room. Cable trays laid horizontally in equipment compartments or raceways and below 2.5m should be protected with grounding measures.
3. Bridges, cable trays, and their supports and hangers used in corrosive environments should be made of corrosion-resistant rigid materials. Alternatively, anti-corrosion treatment can be adopted, and the anti-corrosion treatment method should meet the requirements of the project.
4. In sections with fire protection requirements, cable trays can be equipped with fire-resistant or flame-retardant materials such as boards and nets to form enclosed or semi enclosed structures, and measures such as applying fire-resistant coatings to the surfaces of cable trays and their supports and hangers can be taken.
