During the printing process, barcode printers need to automatically roll the printed labels or base paper, which can be achieved through optional components such as label rewinding devices. There are two types of barcode label rewirers: external and internal. The external rewinder is separate from the barcode printer during operation and usually uses an external tension sensor to control the rotation speed of the rewinder motor, thereby achieving synchronization between rewinding and printing label speeds. The installation and use of external rewinding devices are very simple, and within the allowable width range, they can be compatible with different brands and models of printers (some brands of original external rewinding devices have synchronous signals).

The built-in rewinder must be installed on a specific barcode printer, which is relatively complex to use and install. The built-in rewinder may vary for different brands and models of barcode printers. When the printer is in automatic peeling mode, the built-in rewinder must be selected to match. The built-in rewinder is connected to the barcode printer servo motor through a drive belt or gear, achieving synchronization between the speed of recycling and printing labels. The built-in rewinder is well integrated and highly specialized. Users can choose the internal and external placement of the barcode printer rewinder according to their actual needs during use.
