Bulk density meter
Due to the small interference that can cause changes in measurement results, measuring bulk density is relatively difficult. It is related to the particle size that determines the volume of the powder, as well as the flowability of the powder. Bulk density is the density of the powder sample poured into the test cup; On the other hand, the compacted density is the density of the sample after vibration and compaction. By comparing the bulk density and compacted density, the flow characteristics of different particle sizes can be obtained. The volumetric density meter is designed according to the requirements of Method 2 in Chapter 616 of the United States Pharmacopeia, and is used to measure the volumetric density of fine powders or similar samples.


Instrument includes: Top funnel: with18Stainless steel material for mesh screen
Buffer box: Contains four glass buffer plates, allowing the powder to naturally slide and bounce through.
Bottom funnel: allows powder to enter the receiving cup
Receiving cup: cylindrical, with a volume of25ml+/-0.05ml
Wooden support: Ensure that the receiving cup is placed in the correct position, away from the bottom funnel19mm
Operation steps: Weigh the receiving cup and place it in the correct position
Slowly pour the sample through the top funnel and let it overflow the receiving cup. The sample should be at least35milliliter
Use a scraper to remove excess samples from the receiving cup, and be careful to avoid squeezing and shaking the samples.
Weigh the sample receiving cup again.
