Overview
When a triangular cylindrical vortex generator is set up in a steam fluid, regular vortices are generated alternately from both ends of the vortex generator. This type of vortex is called a Karman vortex, as shown in the figure on the right. The vortex columns are asymmetrically arranged under the vortex generator.

1. The installation position should be selected as much as possible in a location without pipeline vibration or with low vibration, and the vibration acceleration should not exceed 2g. If the vibration is large, vibration reduction measures should be taken;

2. There must be sufficient straight pipe sections upstream and downstream of the sensor

3. The maintenance valve is installed upstream of the sensor, and the flow control valve is installed downstream of the sensor;

4. Try to choose a location that is easy to install and maintain;

5. Choose a location with a dry environment;

6. Sensors can be installed on horizontal or vertical pipelines. But when installed on a vertical pipeline, the medium must flow from bottom to top.

7. Sensors should be installed indoors as much as possible. When they must be installed outdoors, attention should be paid to waterproofing. Cables outside the amplifier box should be bent into a U-shape;

8. Sensors should be kept away from electrical noise, such as high-power frequency converters, high-power transformers, motors, and high-power wireless transceivers.

During welding, it is necessary to ensure that the flange end face is perpendicular to the centerline of the pipeline;

10. The location where the distance between the installation holes is relatively large is the installation position of the meter pole, and the direction of the two flange installation holes should be consistent;

After the flange welding is completed, the pipeline should be cleaned thoroughly and there should be no welding slag or other debris inside.

12. Select the installation location and cut off the front and rear straight pipe sections of appropriate length according to Figure 2, as well as the pipe section of length L1 (as shown in Figure 5 and Table 5);

13. Weld a flange on each of the front and rear straight pipe sections, add sealing gaskets on both ends of the sensor, and use double headed bolts to connect the sensor to the flange (note that the direction of the arrow on the body should be consistent with the direction of fluid flow);

14. Weld the front and rear straight pipe sections of the sensor onto the original pipeline.
