The automatic zoom device SZ-2000 for stereo microscope adopts DC servo motor technology and offers multiple configurations for selection. Depending on the microscope model, the Z-axis focusing resolution also varies slightly, with the Nikon SMZ800 having a minimum step size of 0.8 micrometers.
Optional foot switch for operation, press and hold the switch for 1.5 seconds for continuous movement. The incremental step size and continuous mode speed of the foot switch can be selected. The foot switch option provides a convenient and ergonomic way for you to control the microscope to perform routine tasks such as embryo transfer.
All axes are equipped with ultra precision DC servo motors and high-resolution rotary encoders, ensuring smooth and error free operation. The installation of Z-axis drive and electric zoom control is very simple, using the existing mounting holes on the microscope, so there is no need to make any modifications to the microscope.
Due to the direct installation of the drive shaft on the fine adjustment knob of the microscope, the positioning is more precise. When no drive is required, the switch located on the console will operate the clutch, causing the Z-drive motor to disengage from the fine focus axis. After detachment, the fine adjustment knob of the microscope can be used to manually focus the microscope from both sides. The location will continue to be displayed and can still be queried through the computer. This feature allows researchers to record specific focal positions or enable computers to remember these positions for future use in driving the Z-axis.
The precision gear transmission device can achieve smooth control of zoom function, while the precision DC servo motor with built-in rotary encoder can track and position, ensuring error free operation.
