How to use Payne Penetration Cup

Prepare the test film layer using a coating applicator and appropriate test pieces. |
Open the infiltration cup. |
Inject the required liquid (usually water) or desiccant (absorbent). |

Place the film layer on the cup and reassemble it, making sure to place the gasket first. |
Weigh the prepared permeation cup and record the result in grams. |
Leave it for an appropriate period of time, weigh it again, and calculate the change in total weight (Δ m) and the permeability of water vapor. |
