1、 Product Overview:Ethanol level gauge
The liquid level gauge is installed on the extension pipe outside the tank, and the liquid level inside the tank can be clearly indicated by the flap indicator. A magnetic switch can also be installed on the outside of the bypass pipe of the alcohol level gauge as an electrical contact signal output, or a liquid level transmitter can be installed for long-distance liquid level signal transmission and liquid level control. This level gauge is a reliable safety instrument. The alcohol level gauge has a magnetic coupling isolation sealed structure. Especially suitable for detecting flammable, explosive, corrosive and toxic liquid levels. Thus, the liquid level detection method in the original complex environment becomes simple, reliable, and safe. The liquid level gauge has a direct reading feature for on-site display. No need for multiple sets of liquid level gauges to be combined. It has a single unit for full range measurement. The device has advantages such as fewer openings, clear display, prominent markings, and intuitive readings. When the liquid level gauge is directly equipped with a display instrument, the intermediate transmission of the system signal detection can be eliminated to improve its transmission accuracy.
2、 Working principle:Ethanol level gauge
The liquid level gauge is equipped with an extended bypass pipe on the outside of the tank, and a liquid level indicator is installed outside the bypass pipe. A floating ball with a magnet is placed inside the bypass pipe. As the magnetic color plate contains a magnet with opposite magnetic properties to the floating ball, it will attract the magnetic color plate to flip when the floating ball rises. The color of the magnetic color plate will change from white to red (or silver to gold) to indicate the actual liquid level height.

The liquid level gauge is a new type of level instrument developed in the 1990s by our factory through the introduction of advanced technology and the use of magnetic induction principle according to standards. It is widely used in various towers, tanks, tanks, spherical containers, and boiler equipment in industries such as petroleum, chemical, pharmaceutical, and food to indicate the liquid level and boundary position of the medium.
This product has eye-catching display, intuitive reading, correct measurement, safety and reliability, easy maintenance, and is not affected by high and low temperatures. There are no blind spots in the entire measurement process. Due to the isolation of the liquid and boundary indication system from the medium, it is particularly suitable for working conditions with explosive and toxic media.
Working principle and structural characteristics of alcohol level gauge
A large float with permanent magnet material is sealed inside a stainless steel cylinder. When the liquid level of the medium in the container changes, the large float moves up and down with the rise and fall of the liquid level, driving the flipping plates (columns, balls) of different colors to flip. The red part represents the actual position of the liquid in the container, and the part without liquid appears black (white).
Equipped with liquid level alarm and control switch, it can achieve upper and lower limit over limit alarm, control and interlocking of liquid and boundary; Equipped with a dry spring resistance liquid level transmitter, the liquid level and boundary signals can be converted into 4-20mADC standard current signals, achieving remote indication, detection, and recording control.

Installation, Adjustment, and Use
After the product arrives, the user should first check the packaging quality of the product. The packaging box should be intact and undamaged, with clear markings. If there is obvious damage to the packaging, please contact the storage and transportation department in a timely manner to investigate the problem and responsibility, and notify our company. If there are no quality issues with the packaging, the product can be unpacked and removed. If necessary, simple testing of the instrument can be carried out;
Remove the float chamber flange and install the float in the upward direction according to the arrow (at this time, the magnetic steel inside the float is in its upper half) into the float chamber. Reinstall the float chamber flange, pay attention to installing the sealing gasket and tightening it evenly. Block the lower flange and slowly inject water into the float chamber through the upper connecting flange. The indicator should have a liquid level indication and be sensitive without jumping. The instrument is normal. If the indicator is a tracking indicator, a spare tool magnetic steel can be used to lift the indicator float and couple it with the magnetic float in the float chamber (float indicator type), or use magnetic steel to attract the indicator from below to make its knowledge correct.
When installing the instrument on the equipment, a sealing gasket should be installed on the flange joint surface, and then the instrument should be fixed to the user's flange with bolts. When the instrument is installed on a pressure vessel, it should undergo pressure testing together with the vessel according to relevant regulations, that is, a water pressure test at 1.25 times the working pressure and an air tightness test at 1.05 times the working pressure. After confirming that there is no leakage, it can be put into use. (Note that when the experimental pressure exceeds 1.25 times the working pressure of the instrument, the float should be removed from the float chamber. After the water pressure test is qualified, the float should be installed in the float chamber for an air tightness test not exceeding 1.05 times the working pressure of the instrument.).
When the instrument is put into operation, the upper valve should be opened first, and then the lower valve should be slowly opened to allow the medium to slowly flow into the float chamber, to prevent the liquid level from rising too quickly, which may cause the indicator to fail to track and display or damage the float.
For instruments with liquid level transmitters (remote transmission of electrical signals), a spare tool magnetic steel should be used to attract the movement of the magnetic float in the float chamber, simulate changes in liquid level, and detect whether the liquid level transmitter is working properly. For explosion-proof instruments, it is not only necessary to detect the working state parameters of the transmitter, but also to detect the explosion-proof performance (such as the strength, coating, sealing, etc. of the explosion-proof shell).
The installation of top mounted instruments should first install the float rod component, move the float ball by hand, simulate liquid level changes, and the indicator should be able to operate normally. When installing the instrument, first insert the float rod assembly into the float through the instrument flange hole, and make the magnetic steel N-pole (sealing surface) on the float rod face the indicator. After encrypting the sealing gasket, align the long plate on the assembly with the long groove on the instrument flange end face, and then connect the two flanges.
High temperature and high pressure instruments:
a. According to the assembly drawing, install the table: place insulation gaskets between the small flanges, and install them with spare M12 bolts, nuts, and gaskets. Install copper pipes in the designated location, tighten the joints, and ensure no leakage.
b. When installing the instrument on the equipment, a sealing gasket should be installed on the flange joint surface, and then the instrument should be fixed to the predetermined flange of the user equipment interface with bolts.
c、 After the installation of the instrument is completed, open the valve to pressurize the instrument. Be careful to charge slowly! Wait for the pressure and temperature of the container and instrument chamber to stabilize before the instrument can be put into use.
● Level gauge equipped with level transmitter output:
a. When installing instruments with explosion-proof requirements, users must comply with the "Electrical Safety Regulations for Hazardous Areas of the People's Republic of China"; Repairs must be carried out in a safe place. The power must be cut off during installation and maintenance. After confirming that the power is disconnected, open the instrument junction box again. The grounding terminal on the junction box of the instrument must be connected to a reliable ground wire. During the adjustment and use process, attention should be paid to protecting the explosion-proof threaded joint surface on the instrument junction box, and there should be no scratches, collisions, or other damages.
b. After the on-site display part of the instrument is put into operation, connect the wiring of the transmitter of the liquid level transmitter output level gauge, cover the instrument junction box, and confirm the seal before powering on.
c. Observe the liquid level value of the digital display instrument. If the liquid level value of the output level gauge with a liquid level transmitter is inconsistent with the displayed liquid level value on site, you can loosen the hose clamp and adjust the upper and lower positions of the liquid level transmitter appropriately until they are consistent. Then tighten the throat clamp.
d. The alarm switch of the liquid level gauge with an alarm switch is a dry contact passive switch. Switches can generally be divided into several types: normally open, normally closed, and normally open self-locking. Mainly used for controlling low-power loads (relays, contactors, etc.). Attention: The switch type and switch capacity shall be in accordance with the contract agreement.
The measurement zero point of anti-corrosion instruments is based on the actual position displayed by the indicator. The mechanical strength of anti-corrosion instruments made of PVC or other materials is relatively low, and external metal support should be added during installation to ensure safe use. During installation, attention should also be paid to evenly tightening the flange screws to avoid damage caused by uneven stress.
The working principle of the liquid level transmission part (electrical part) of the explosion-proof liquid level gauge is that it uses a magnetic float to act on a magnetic spring switch, causing a change in the resistance of the connected circuit, thereby enabling the sensor part to generate a resistance signal corresponding to the liquid level change. By using a signal converter, the resistance signal can be converted into a 4-20mA current signal.
The electronic components of this level gauge have almost no energy storage components such as capacitors and inductors. And the performance is stable. The explosion-proof box has good sealing performance.
The output terminals of the transmitter of the liquid level gauge are 1 terminal and 2 terminals, where the 1 terminal is negative and the 2 terminal is positive. The wire is connected from end 1 and end 2, and connected to other secondary level gauges. Pay attention to the polarity correspondence when connecting!
The working principle of the liquid level transmission part (electrical part) of the intrinsic safety level gauge is to use a magnetic float to act on a magnetic spring switch. The on/off of the magnetic spring switch causes a change in the resistance value of the circuit (the number of precision resistors connected to the system changes), which in turn allows the sensor part to generate a resistance signal corresponding to the liquid level change. By using a signal converter, the resistance signal can be converted into a 4-20mA current signal.
The electronic components of this level gauge have almost no energy storage components such as capacitors and inductors. And the performance is stable.
The output terminals of the transmitter of the liquid level gauge are 1 terminal and 2 terminals, where the 1 terminal is negative and the 2 terminal is positive. The wire is connected from end 1 and end 2, and is connected to the safety barrier located in the safety zone. Pay attention to the polarity correspondence when connecting!
The intrinsic safety level gauge needs to be used in conjunction with a suitable safety barrier, and the safety barrier parameter requirements are as follows:

The wiring terminal connection method of intrinsic safety level gauge is similar to that of explosion-proof level gauge.
● Maintenance and upkeep
For instruments installed correctly and in a good environment, no special maintenance is required except for daily surface maintenance. For media containing impurities or viscous substances, it is recommended to install filtering devices or regularly clean the float to prevent it from getting stuck. When disassembling the float, special attention should be paid to the direction of the float. If it is installed backwards, the instrument will not work properly.
The surface of the monitor should be cleaned regularly to prevent excessive accumulation of dirt or dust from affecting the normal display of the instrument.
The instruments used by * should be replaced with vulnerable parts in a timely manner during major repairs.
Users should regularly check the corrosion of the instrument based on factors such as the temperature, flow rate, and corrosiveness of the medium, and replace vulnerable parts regularly.
Instruments equipped with filtering devices should arrange their own cleaning cycle based on the cleanliness of the medium inside the container.
Explosion proof instruments should also be tested for their anti explosion performance during designated explosion periods.
