1、 Instrument Introduction:

The explosion-proof ultrasonic flowmeter is made of imported integrated circuits, all of which are digitized and integrated to improve measurement accuracy, stability, and greatly reduce fault maintenance. It is currently a low-power flow measuring instrument with stable technology, performance, and easy installation in China. Based on years of experience and continuous product updates, the DS-100F ultrasonic flowmeter has powerful functions, fast computing speed, strong anti-interference ability, and up to 128 periodic sampling times. It is used for online measurement of various liquid flow rates in industrial sites.

2、 Working principle:

Explosion proof ultrasonic flowmeter is realized by using the principle of measuring the propagation time of ultrasonic waves in pipelines. There is a linear relationship between the flow velocity of the medium (liquid) in the pipeline and the time difference of ultrasound propagation along the medium in both forward and backward directions. As long as the propagation time of ultrasonic waves in both forward and backward directions is measured separately, the instantaneous average flow velocity at each point along the pipeline path can be obtained based on a linear relationship. In this way, the medium flow rate can be obtained through flow velocity, pipeline cross-sectional area, and Reynolds number.

When an ultrasonic beam propagates in a liquid, the flow of the fluid will cause a slight change in propagation time, and the change in propagation time is proportional to the flow velocity of the liquid, from which the flow velocity of the liquid can be calculated.

3、 Application scope:

1. Measuring liquids: water, seawater, alkali and other monomers, turbidity less than 10000ppm, particle size less than 1mm;

2. Pipeline materials: full pipes made of steel, cast iron, PVC pipes, etc. that can be penetrated by ultrasonic waves, with dense texture, no severe corrosion or scaling, and allow for thin layer dense lining;

3. Pipe lining materials: rubber, epoxy asphalt, fiberglass, mortar, etc., or without lining;

4. Pipe diameter range: DN15mm~6000mm, the insertion sensor is suitable for pipes with a diameter of DN25mm~6000mm;

6、 Pipeline:

1. Pipe materials: steel, stainless steel, cast iron, cement pipe, copper PVC、 All dense pipelines such as aluminum and fiberglass are allowed to have lining;

2. Tube inner diameter: 15mm~6000mm;

3. Straight pipe section: The sensor installation point must meet the requirements of upstream 10D, downstream 5D, and 30D from the pump outlet (D refers to the pipe diameter).

7、 Work environment:

1. Host temperature: -30 ℃~80 ℃;

2. Flow sensor temperature: -40 ℃~160 ℃;

3. Temperature sensor temperature: selected according to user needs;

8、 Cable:

The model is SEYV75-2 shielded type, and a single cable can be extended up to 500 meters. At the same time, be careful not to run parallel with high-voltage cables and try to avoid frequency converters.

9、 Measurement medium:

1. Types: Single and uniform liquids that can transmit ultrasonic waves, such as tap water, seawater, industrial wastewater, acidic and alkaline liquids, alcohol, beer, various oils, etc;

2. Temperature: 0 ℃~160 ℃;

3. Turbidity: ≤ 10000ppm, with low bubble content;

4. Flow velocity: 0~± 30m/s;

5. Flow direction: bidirectional measurement in both directions, and can measure net flow.

10、 Installation steps for sensors:

1. Choose a location with sufficient straight pipe length, which must be a new pipeline, rust free, and easy to operate place.

2. Remove debris and rust from the pipeline, and try to use a corner grinding machine to remove rust as much as possible.

3. Apply enough coupling agent (such as butter, Vaseline, etc.) on the emission surface of the sensor and apply coupling.

4. The purpose of the mixture is to eliminate air between the sensor emission surface and the outer surface of the pipeline.

5. Special reminder: Sand and debris should be avoided from entering this area.

6. There may be some bubbles remaining on the upper part of the inner wall of the horizontal pipeline. When installing on such a pipeline, it should be selected on the surface perpendicular to the side of the pipeline.

11、 Instructions for use:

1. Zero traffic check

When the liquid in the pipeline is stationary and there is no strong magnetic field interference or vibration around it, the meter head displays zero. At this time, the zero point is automatically set to eliminate zero drift. During operation, a small signal cutoff must be performed. Usually, if the flow rate is less than 5% of the full range flow rate, it will be automatically cutoff. At the same time, the zero point can also be adjusted through the menu.

2. Instrument panel keyboard operation

Before starting the instrument operation, it is necessary to set the parameters effectively, such as using unit system, installation method, pipeline diameter, pipeline wall thickness, pipeline material, pipeline roughness, fluid type, distance between two probes, flow rate unit, minimum speed, maximum speed, etc. All parameters must be entered correctly for the instrument to display the actual flow value correctly

3. Regular calibration of flow meters

To ensure the accuracy of the flow meter, we conduct regular calibration. Usually, we use higher precision portable flow meters for direct comparison and calculate using the measured data: error=measured value - standard value/standard value. By calculating the relative error and correction factor, the measurement error can reach ± 2% error to meet the measurement requirements. This operation is simple and convenient, and can effectively improve the accuracy of measurement.
