The tank breathing valve is a spring-loaded limit valve plate that is determined by positive and negative pressure to either exhale or inhale. The breathing valve should have two functions: releasing positive pressure and negative pressure. Specifically, when the container is under positive pressure, the breathing valve opens to exhale gas and release positive pressure; When the container is subjected to negative pressure, the flame retardant breathing valve opens to suck in gas and release the negative pressure. This ensures that the pressure is within a certain range, ensuring the safety of the container. One is to exhale or inhale when a certain pressure is reached. Another approach is to design it purely as breathing without inhaling.
Under normal circumstances, the breathing valve of the storage tank plays a sealing role. To ensure the safety of the storage tank, the tank breathing valve only starts working under the following conditions:
1. When the storage tank outputs materials, the tank breathing valve begins to suck air or nitrogen into the storage tank.
2. When the storage tank is filled with materials, the tank breathing valve begins to discharge the gas from the tank.
3. Due to climate change, the vapor pressure of materials in storage tanks may increase or decrease, and the tank breathing valve may exhale steam or inhale air and nitrogen (commonly referred to as thermal effect).
4. In the event of a fire, the heat exhaled will cause a rapid increase in the evaporation of liquid in the tank, and the tank breathing valve will begin to discharge from the tank to prevent damage due to overpressure.
5. Under other working conditions, such as pressurized supply of volatile liquids, chemical reactions between internal and external heat transfer devices, operational errors, etc., the breathing valve of the tank breathing valve can avoid overpressure in the tank breathing valve. Therefore, it will be exhaled or inhaled, or damaged by ultra vacuum.

The valve disc is discharged from the high pressure in the storage tank through channel A, so the pressure in the storage tank is balanced with atmospheric pressure. If the pressure in the storage tank is lower than atmospheric pressure (i.e., the negative pressure generated is too low), atmospheric pressure enters through suction channel B and directly acts under the suction valve disc to overcome the gravity of the valve disc. Open the suction valve disc to compensate for pressure, thereby compensating for the pressure in the storage tank and balancing the pressure in the tank with atmospheric pressure.
When a fire occurs, the source of fire may spread from the entrance to the storage tank.
