FX-HB dual-mode water supply equipment
Some pumps are fixed with water tanks as the water source for intermediate pressurized water supply, while others use municipal pipeline networks as the water source for direct pressurized water supply. The equipment pipeline is simple and does not require water source switching. The equipment is mostly configured with 2 pumps and 3 pumps (1 for use and 1 for backup, 2 for use and 1 for backup), with 1 pump fixed to the water tank as the water source and the remaining pumps fixed to the municipal pipeline network as the water source.
During the operation of the equipment, the control principle is that the municipal water source and stainless steel water tank are complementary and backup to each other, and direct boosting and intermediate boosting are complementary and backup to each other.
Operating instructions:1. Manual operation: It can switch between two water sources at any time and manually operate the equipment according to the water source conditions.
2. When the water tank is filled with water above a certain level or when the municipal pipeline pressure allows direct suction, the equipment is allowed to enter automatic operation mode. Otherwise, it is considered that there is a problem with the water source and automatic operation is prohibited.
3. When running automatically, if the municipal water supply is insufficient, priority will be given to scheduling the operation of each pump according to the principle of "two water sources complement each other and are mutually backup". Taking the two pumps as an example: when the municipal pressure is too low to allow suction, the booster pump will be stopped directly, the intermediate booster pump will be started, and the equipment will naturally switch to the water source of the water tank. For configurations with more than 3 pumps: When the municipal pressure is low and high flow suction is not allowed, one intermediate booster pump will be switched or added as needed to supplement the insufficient municipal water supply.
4. When running automatically, if the municipal water supply capacity is sufficient, the equipment will mainly use the municipal pipeline network as the water source, and schedule the start, stop, and operation sequence of each pump according to the operation mode given by the control cabinet model, and schedule the power frequency or variable frequency operation of each pump. In addition, when the water storage in the tank exceeds the time limit, it will automatically switch to the water source of the tank for supply.
5. During automatic operation, the equipment provides variable frequency speed regulation and constant pressure water supply according to the given control method. The standard product adopts the equipment export voltage transformation (automatic multi constant voltage) control method. Special orders can also use control methods such as clock controlled variable voltage, simulated terminal constant voltage, and true terminal constant voltage (pressure sensors need to be installed at the most unfavorable point).
6. The lower pressure limit of municipal water sources can be arbitrarily set as a restriction and prohibition for suction pressure. The water tank level alarm point can be freely set, and the water tank storage circulation time can be freely set.
7. The standard equipment does not include an air pressure tank and is set to continuous operation mode (without stopping) at the factory. The equipment with an optional air pressure tank is set to intermittent operation mode at the factory, automatically stopping at zero or low flow rate and relying on the air pressure tank to maintain pressure after shutdown.
Equipment working principle
FX-WG, FX-H, and FX-HB are three types of water supply equipment that combine continuous regulation of variable frequency pumps with graded regulation of power frequency pumps to achieve constant pressure water supply across the entire flow range. The control schematic is shown below:

1. Operation method:
Manual operation: Each pump can be manually started and stopped by the switch of each pump on the control cabinet panel. Fully variable frequency type, capable of manual speed regulation.
Automatic operation: Controlled by feedback signals from pressure sensors, the pump is automatically increased or decreased according to the actual needs of water supply. And it can automatically switch the water source (FX-HB) or start stop according to the tap water pressure.
Remote control: (optional, determined by the user when placing an order) The start and stop of the pump are controlled by remote passive contacts, and the operating status of each pump is output simultaneously.
2. Electrical principle explanation:
The electrical principles and wiring are detailed in Part 7 of this manual. The specific instructions are as follows:
A、Manual state: When the switch is set to the "manual" position, the operation of each large pump and small flow pump can be started and stopped freely by the manual knob switch (some equipment may not have a small pump). This position is used for equipment maintenance and debugging.
B、 Stop state: When the switch is set to the "stop" position, the device enters a stop state and no pump can run. If the equipment is not used for a long time, it is best to turn off the power to the frequency converter.
C、 Automatic state: First, call the default values through the text display (refer to Part 5 of this manual for detailed steps). When calling the default parameters, it is best to first disconnect the circuit breaker of the frequency converter's primary control circuit; On the basis of default parameters, set parameters according to actual user needs. After the parameter settings are completed, close the circuit breaker once and set the switch to the "automatic" position. The PLC will control the start and stop of each pump based on the actual pressure of the user's pipeline network. Firstly, when the pressure is less than
Lower limit under pressureAt the time, the small flow pump (if any) is started and operated (the variable frequency pump is started first without the small pump). If the water supply is insufficient and the target pressure required by the user cannot be maintained, the variable frequency pump automatically starts and maintains constant pressure operation (the small pump is delayed and turned off); If the required flow rate is large, the variable frequency pump will automatically adjust the speed to the highest speed. If the pressure still cannot be maintained at the set value
Constant voltage value(Below constant pressure)
Lower pressure limit)At that time, the PLC confirmed the start of parallel operation of pump 2 after a delay. If the flow continues to increase and the water supply pressure falls below the lower limit of constant pressure again, after a delay confirmation, the PLC will automatically drive the parallel operation of pump 3. Based on this reasoning. The constant pressure value (target pressure) is set according to user requirements through the first constant pressure setting in the text display.
D、 When the water supply flow decreases, the variable frequency pump will automatically slow down. When it reaches the lower limit of the frequency setting (or when the pressure exceeds the upper limit), after a delay confirmation, the PLC will automatically slow down the pump, and pump 2 will stop running; If the flow rate continues to decrease, the variable frequency pump will slow down again until the frequency switch is activated. After a delay confirmation, the PLC will automatically send a pump reduction signal, and pump 3 will stop running; When the variable frequency pump operates as a single pump and automatically adjusts the speed to a lower speed, it indicates that the flow rate has decreased. At this time, the equipment switches to running as a low flow pump (variable frequency self stop). During the operation of the small pump, when the pipeline pressure reaches the set shutdown pressure (upper limit of pressure), the small pump will shut down; The equipment enters a shutdown pressure holding state (without a pressure tank type, it will not stop). When the frequency conversion fails, the pump starts at the lower limit of pressure and stops at the upper limit of pressure. Full frequency conversion type (QB), alternating frequency conversion type (BJ)/cycle type (BX), adding pump at lower pressure limit, reducing pump at lower frequency limit, starting at lower pressure limit.
E、 When the equipment is restarted due to insufficient pressure, its operation process is similar to the previous one, but the two small pumps will automatically alternate and serve as backups for each other; The power frequency pump will automatically alternate and run in parallel, and the two power frequency pumps are also mutually backup. In short, with the goal of ensuring constant pressure in the user's pipeline network, PLC automatically controls, alternates, and runs multiple pumps in parallel. If the frequency converter fails during the operation of the equipment, the PLC will automatically stop the frequency conversion pump and switch to another power frequency pump for operation, and the frequency conversion fault indicator light on the control cabinet panel will light up. At this point, the device will no longer be in constant voltage operation. After troubleshooting, the frequency converter needs to be manually reset (the fault of the frequency converter generally cannot be automatically reset by the frequency converter, as the characteristics of the frequency converter determine) before it can be put back into operation.
F、 When the tap water pressure is lower than the lower limit of the water supply pressure (when it reaches the low pressure stop) (which can be freely set), the equipment automatically switches to the water tank for water supply (FX-HB type) or automatically shuts down (FX-WG type/FX-H type). Automatically supplied with tap water during restoration. The water tank type can be supplied with water from the water tank at regular intervals to achieve automatic circulation of the water source in the water tank.
G. The FX-WG, FX-H, and FX-HB intelligent control devices are divided into four control modes: variable frequency fixed (BG), variable frequency alternating (BJ, only one variable frequency controller can control two water pumps), variable frequency cycle (BX), and full variable frequency (QB); The basic control process without a small pump is as follows:
BG - Start first, then stop. Start the frequency conversion pump first, and then process the frequency pump; When reducing the pump, first reduce the power frequency pump, and finally stop the variable frequency pump. The frequency converter only controls one fixed water pump.
BJ - Start first and then stop. Start the frequency conversion pump first, and then process the frequency pump; When reducing the pump, first reduce the power frequency pump, and finally stop the variable frequency pump. When the machine is stopped and restarted, the frequency converter automatically switches to the second pump and repeats the above process. The frequency converter alternately controls the two water pumps.
BX - Stop first. Start the variable frequency pump first, and when adding the pump, switch the variable frequency pump to power frequency operation first, then start the next pump with variable frequency, and so on; When reducing the pump, first reduce the power frequency pump, and finally stop the variable frequency pump. Repeat the above process when restarting after shutdown, and the frequency converter controls each water pump in a cyclic manner.
When one frequency converter controls two water pumps,BJ、BXThe two control methods are the same in the electrical connection of the control cabinet, but the process of action is different (i.e. the hardware is the same, but the control program is different).
QB - Stop first. Each frequency converter controls one water pump and operates in a cyclic manner.
