5、 Common faults and maintenance
Fiber turntable filter manufacturers should check the wiring terminals in the electrical control cabinet of the fiber turntable filter equipment every three months for looseness. If this is the case, the wiring terminals should be tightened. When there is a fault in the electrical part, the electrical circuit should be checked according to the electrical schematic to see if it is normal, if the circuit breaker trips, and if the fuse is burned out. The cause should be identified and resolved before powering on again.
Common faults and maintenance of electrical equipment in fiber rotary filter:
1. Reason for tripping of the motor circuit breaker of the fiber rotary filter equipment: (1) Loose or disconnected joints and terminals; (2) The current setting value of the circuit breaker is too small. Countermeasure: (1) Connect and fasten the terminals correctly; (2) Adjust the current setting of the circuit breaker according to the rated current of the motor.

3. Reason for the water pump not producing water: (1) Leakage in the pipeline; (2) Motor reversal. Countermeasure: (1) Tighten the screws of the pipeline to make it sealed; (2) Adjust the motor phase sequence.
4. Electric valve motor does not start, reason: (1) not connected to power supply; (2) Disconnection, detachment of connectors from terminals; (3) The power supply voltage is incorrect or too low; (4) Overheating protector action (whether the ambient temperature is too high, whether the valve is stuck); (5) The micro opening action is not good; (6) The startup capacitor is not functioning properly. Countermeasure: (1) Connect the power supply properly; (2) Repair broken wires and correctly connect and tighten terminals; (3) Go check if the voltage is normal; (4) Reduce the ambient temperature and manually check if the valve opening and closing are normal; (5) Replace the micro switch; (6) Replace the capacitor with the manufacturer.
5. The reason why the electric valve opening and closing indicator light does not light up is: (1) the light bulb is broken; (2) The micro switch is not functioning properly. Countermeasure: (1) Replace the light bulb; (2) Replace the micro switch.
6. The reason why the motor cannot stop running when the electric valve reaches the position is: (1) poor switch action; (2) Reverse the phase sequence of three-phase AC power supply; (3) Error in connecting limit switch to control circuit; (4) Mechanical limit advance action. Countermeasure: (1) Replace the switch; (2) Adjust the three-phase AC phase sequence; (3) Adjust the wiring; (4) Adjust the mechanical limit again according to the adjustment instructions of the mechanical limit block.
6、 Working principle
The operating status of the fiber rotary filter includes filtration, backwashing, and sludge discharge.
(1) Filtration: The sewage flows into the filter tank by gravity, causing the filter disc to be completely submerged in the sewage. Install a water distribution weir in the filter tank to ensure uniform water distribution and low disturbance of incoming water. The sewage is filtered through a filter cloth, and the filtered liquid is collected through a hollow pipe before being discharged from the filter tank through an effluent weir. During the cleaning process, filtration is still ongoing. Therefore, the filtering process is continuous throughout the entire operation.
(2) Cleaning: Part of the sludge in the filtration is adsorbed onto the fiber filter cloth, gradually forming a sludge layer. As sludge accumulates on the filter cloth, the filtration resistance of the filter cloth increases, and the water level of the filter gradually rises. The pressure sensor in the filter tank monitors the liquid level changes in the tank. When the liquid level in the tank reaches the cleaning set value (high water level), the PLC can start the backwash pump and begin the cleaning process. The backwash time and cycle can be adjusted. The sludge on the filter cloth is discharged into the factory drainage system through a reverse suction device and a backwash water pump. During cleaning, the filter can continuously filter.
During the filtration process, the filter disc is in a static state, which is beneficial for the sedimentation of sludge at the bottom of the tank. During the cleaning period, the filter disc rotates at a speed of 0.5-1 revolutions per minute. The backwash water pump uses negative pressure to suction the surface of the filter cloth, removing the accumulated sludge particles on the filter cloth. The water inside the filter disc is simultaneously sucked from the inside out, which has a cleaning effect on the filter cloth. The instantaneous flushing area only accounts for about 1% of the total filtration turntable area, and the backwashing process is intermittent.
During normal cleaning, two filter discs are grouped together, and one set of filter discs is cleaned each time. The fiber disc filter tank is controlled by automatically switching the electric valve on the suction pump pipeline. During a complete cleaning process, the cleaning of each group alternates, and the suction pump works continuously. When the incoming water quality suddenly deteriorates and the backwash cycle is ≤ 15 minutes, the system will activate emergency measures and start 2-4 backwash pumps to backwash 2-4 sets of filter discs (4-8 discs) until the backwash cycle returns to normal.
(3) Sludge discharge: The fiber disc filter has a bucket shaped bottom under the filter disc, which is conducive to the collection of sludge at the bottom of the tank. The sedimentation at the bottom of the sludge tank reduces the amount of sludge on the filter cloth, which can prolong the filtration time and reduce the amount of backwash water. After a set period of time, the PLC starts the sludge discharge pump and returns the sludge to the factory drainage system through the perforated sludge discharge pipe at the bottom of the pool. Among them, the interval and duration of sludge discharge can be adjusted.
Fiber disc filter is particularly suitable for upgrading and renovating existing sewage treatment plants, which can increase the effluent from level B to level A. It has been widely used abroad and the technology is mature and reliable.
