Overview
Flame retardant mining cable is a special cable designed specifically for the harsh thermal environment underground in coal mines. Its core feature is that it can effectively suppress the spread of flames in the event of short circuits or overloads, and automatically extinguish after the fire source is removed, preventing the ignition of gas and coal dust and avoiding the expansion of accidents.
Product Details
Flame retardant mining cables are the core of safe power supply in mines, and corresponding types should be selected according to specific scenarios (mobile/fixed equipment, shaft type, gas environment), and strictly comply with MA certification and national standards. Armored type is resistant to mechanical damage, rubber type is suitable for mobile equipment, and low smoke and halogen-free type ensures the safety of personnel escaping from high-risk areas.
Core features:
1​​. Flame retardant performance
Made of halogen-free materials, it does not release a large amount of toxic gases during combustion, effectively delaying the spread of fire and reducing smoke concentration.
Strict combustion tests (such as bundle combustion test) are required, and the flame retardant grades are divided into A, B, and C. Among them, Class A has strong flame retardancy (flame spread ≤ 1.5m).
2. Environmental resistance
Moisture and corrosion prevention: The insulation layer and sheath are made of polyethylene (PE) or cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) to adapt to the humid and acidic environment of mines.
Mechanical strength: Armored cables (such as steel wire/strip armor) can withstand rock compression, tension, and impact, making them suitable for laying in vertical and inclined shafts.
Temperature adaptability: The working temperature range is -40 ℃~90 ℃, and the laying temperature is not lower than -10 ℃.
Main electrical performance of MHYA city communication cable:
1. DC resistance: 20 ℃, 0.4 ≤ 148, 0.5 ≤ 95.0, 0.6 ≤ 65.8, 0.8 ≤ 36.6
2. Electrical strength: No breakdown between conductors at 1kV for 1 minute and no breakdown between conductors and shields at 3kV for 1 minute.
3. Insulation resistance: Each core wire is grounded to the rest of the wire cores, with HYA cables exceeding 10000M Ω· km and HYAT cables exceeding 3000M Ω· km.
4. Working capacitance: average value of 52 ± 2nF/km 5. Far end crosstalk * degree: The average combined power at 150kHz is greater than 69dB/km.
