GSM/GPRS/GNSS MC30

The MC30 module is developed using the multifunctional communication positioning chip launched by MediaTek. It is a four band GSM/GPRS fully functional integrated communication module with LCC packaging, integrated advanced algorithm GNSS engine, Cell ID, and Wi Fi assisted positioning function. It has the advantages of ultra small size, low power consumption, and dual card single standby. The module not only embeds rich network protocols such as TCP/UDP/FTP/HTTP/PPP/SSL/MQTT, but also integrates multi constellation satellite systems such as GPS, BeiDou, GLONASS, Galileo, and QZSS.

The MC30 module supports hybrid positioning function. The outdoor use of GNSS, Cell ID, and Wi Fi hybrid positioning mode ensures that the module can achieve positioning even in weak or no GNSS signal environments; Indoor Wi Fi positioning mode is used to completely solve the problem of current devices being unable to locate indoors. MC30 also has advanced AGPS technology, integrating EPO (users do not need to set up their own servers, directly obtain EPO data from MTK servers), instant positioning and other technologies to achieve rapid device positioning for the first time. To meet customer needs, Wi Fi assisted positioning supports customers to build their own servers to parse latitude and longitude and directly output latitude and longitude functions (with built-in third-party MAC and latitude and longitude conversion algorithms), greatly reducing client design complexity.

The MC30 module reduces its size by 50% compared to traditional GSM+GNSS+Wi Fi solutions, greatly expanding its application scope in the M2M field in today's increasingly compact size requirements, such as shared bicycles, smart student cards, in car trackers, wearable devices (smartwatches), pet tracking, property tracking, and driving recorders.
