We have introduced, digested, and absorbed advanced and mature design and manufacturing technologies for electric wheel drive motors and traction generators from abroad. We have successfully localized the motors for the 130 ton, 170 ton, and 220 ton series dump trucks, as well as the motors for the GE150 ton and 240 ton drive systems, which originally relied entirely on imports. On this basis, this technology is applied to the design and manufacturing of independent motor products, producing motor products that meet the requirements of domestic manufacturers.

Technical Features

Electric wheel dump trucks operate through electric transmission, which is driven by a diesel engine and a synchronous traction generator that generates alternating current. AC power drives the traction motors installed on the left and right sides of the rear axle through the control cabinet. The electric motor outputs mechanical torque, which is transmitted to the wheel hub through the wheel reducer to drive the vehicle.

1) Traction generator

At present, the mainstream AC synchronous generators for mining cars have two technical solutions: harmonic excitation and brushless excitation.

Harmonic excitation is a scheme in which a set of independent third harmonic auxiliary windings are added to the stator slots of a generator. Harmonic AC voltage is extracted from the stator, rectified by a static converter, and then sent to the generator rotor excitation winding through slip rings and brushes for excitation. This scheme has the characteristics of simple structure, fast response speed, and high reliability.

Brushless excitation is the addition of an AC excitation generator and rectification device inside the original generator. The stator magnetic poles of the excitation generator introduce controllable DC excitation power from the excitation control cabinet, causing the armature of the excitation generator to generate three-phase AC power. After being rectified by a rectifier module that rotates with the shaft, it is sent to the excitation coil of the main generator rotor. This solution can greatly extend the maintenance cycle of the motor.

2) Drive motor

The driving motor is the power source of the vehicle, and the driving speed of the vehicle is directly proportional to the speed of the motor. The highest parameter of the vehicle depends on the highest speed of the motor, and the climbing ability of the vehicle directly depends on the maximum torque of the motor.

The drive motor using AC asynchronous variable frequency speed regulation transmission has the following characteristics:
