The distance between the oil level and the axis shall not exceed 1 meter.

If the pump has been out of service for a month or longer, the oil inside the pump casing must be refilled.

When installing the HYDAC pump, it is important to ensure that the liquid inside the pump does not leak during shutdown.

Vertical installation of pump

For applications that require vertical installation (top axis), remove the baffle plug at the ventilation opening and connect the pipes as shown in the following diagram.

The oil level in the fuel tank should be higher than the pump installation flange (see figure) If the oil level in the fuel tank is lower than the installation flange,

Forced lubrication is required through the exhaust port (1-2 liters/minute)

After installing the pump in the oil tank and immersing it in engine oil, open the drainage and ventilation ports to provide sufficient lubrication for the internal components.

If the pump is installed outside the fuel tank, the drainage pipe and ventilation pipe must be connected to the fuel tank (see diagram) If these lines are above the oil level (see figure), they must be filled with oil before being put into use.
