This nutritional medium can maximize the growth rate of Escherichia coli and restore damaged organisms after compression. But the culture medium does not include ingredients that prevent the growth of squeezed Escherichia coli. Specific inhibitors in the medium will effectively reduce the growth of non coliform bacteria.
