As a core performance indicator of electronic universal testing machines, coaxiality directly affects the accuracy and reliability of material mechanics testing - it measures the degree of coincidence between the center lines of the upper and lower clamping heads of the specimen clamping device and the force axis, ensuring that the specimen bears pure axial loads rather than additional eccentric stresses. Errors arise from factors such as design, processing, or assembly, which can introduce bending stress and cause distortion of test data, especially in high stiffness materials (such as metal alloys) or measuring elastic poles. Slight deviations can significantly distort the accuracy of key parameters such as yield strength and tensile strength

To improve the coaxiality of the testing machine, Hengyi adopts a rigid frame structure (such as a symmetrical layout of double columns) and a precision transmission system (such as a double reducer toothed belt transmission). Through finite element analysis optimization, the coaxiality deviation is controlled within 5%, effectively dispersing the load and extending the equipment life. At the same time, high-resolution sensors (such as the 8 million code system) are combined with fully digital closed-loop control to achieve real-time monitoring during dynamic loading processes, meeting the strict requirements for coaxiality in standards such as ASTM E1012-5 and JJG139-2014 (expressed as bending percentage).
