High pressure plate heat exchangers are generally fully welded plate heat exchangers, or detachable welded plate heat exchangers commonly used in the chemical industry.Compared to detachable plate heat exchangers, high-pressure plate heat exchangers are more resistant to high temperatures and pressures due to their complete welding and lack of sealing gasket restrictions.

1、 Comparison of pressure bearing capacity:Detachable plate heat exchanger < High pressure plate heat exchanger
In working conditions with high impurity content in the heat exchange medium, if the pressure exceeds the pressure bearing capacity of the detachable plate heat exchanger, welded plate heat exchangers must be used. However, for high impurity content that requires regular cleaning, high-pressure plate heat exchangers are not suitable. At this point, there is a detachable welded plate heat exchanger. Its shell can be disassembled, and the blockage between the inner panels can be clearly seen, which is very beneficial for maintenance and cleaning.
2、 Cost comparison:Detachable plate heat exchanger<Detachable fully welded plate heat exchanger<High pressure plate heat exchanger
Among the three types of plate heat exchangers under the same operating conditions, the detachable plate heat exchanger has a lower cost. In terms of corrosion resistance, all three types of plate heat exchangers can flexibly choose materials based on the chemical properties of the heat exchange medium. I won't elaborate on their similarities here.
In addition, for high-pressure plate heat exchangers, there are also working conditions that exceed their pressure capacity. At this time, it is necessary to consider using a tube heat exchanger instead, although its heat transfer efficiency is not as high as plate heat exchangers, it occupies a large area, and has a higher cost than plate heat exchangers.
