These boxes are mainly used for:

• Joint and/or cable traction.

Sort the barrier signals and/or transposition signals on site to the control room such as the fieldbus; Mod bus and Profi bus used for analog, digital, and/or measurement signals (such as thermocouples, 4 ÷ 20mA signals, etc.).

Various control and signal units are also provided (see page J05).

It must be connected through cable entry according to IEC/EN 60079-14 standard and equipped with certified components that comply with IEC/EN 50079-0, IEC/EN 60009-1, IEC/EN 60079-7, and IEC/EM 60079-31 standards.

If the manufacturer does not provide it, do not add gaskets.

When the cable gland is not equipped with a fracture prevention system, users should use an alternative system to complete the junction box to avoid mechanical stress transmission to the terminals and cable gland.

Unused holes must be sealed with metal or plastic plugs, have the same size characteristics as cable glands, and certified according to IEC/EN 60079-0, IEC/EN 60009-1, IEC/EN 60079-7, IEC/EL 60079-31 standards.
