YC-310 multi-function spray granulator can be used for granulation of traditional Chinese medicine extracts, fluidized bed spray granulation, spray agglomeration, coating, fluidized bed drying, etc.
2、 Working principle:
Spray agglomeration granulation in fluidized bed is a molding method that can enhance the properties of powder. By spray in the fluidized bed system, we can transform the powdery, non flowing and generally poor solubility particles into free flowing large particles with excellent solubility. This method is particularly suitable for preparing tablets and manufacturing cleaning agents, drinking powders, and instant products.
Fluidized bed spray agglomeration granulation can move the very small powder particles on the fluidized bed, and spray adhesive solution or suspension on them to produce liquid bridge, so that the particles form aggregates. Continue spray until the aggregates reach the required size. When the capillary and residual moisture on the surface evaporate, hollow spaces are formed in the particles, and the hardened adhesive also solidifies the new structure. The lack of kinetic energy in fluidized beds can result in extremely porous structures with a large number of capillaries inside. The typical size range of aggregates is 100 micrometers to 3 millimeters, and the starting material can be ultrafine.
Fluidized bed drying - efficient solution for controlled particle drying (YC-310 multi-function spray granulator)
Fluidized bed drying is an excellent method for controlled, gentle, and uniform drying of wet powders. The intense heat/mass exchange in fluidized bed products makes this method particularly effective and time-saving. This technology is also suitable for post drying of spray painted and extruded products with extremely low residual moisture.
Fluidized bed drying can be used for the entire powder processing industry. In the pharmaceutical industry, this innovative method has long replaced time-consuming tray drying: the drying process using fluidized bed drying can reduce the drying time in the drying oven by about 20 times. In addition, compared to uneven tray drying, fluidized bed drying can provide controlled and uniform drying conditions.
Whether the product is produced in a fluidized bed or a high shear mixer, whether in batch production or continuous production: through fluidized bed drying, it is necessary to ensure that the drying always occurs in thermodynamic equilibrium. The intake temperature must be selected so that the water transferred from the inside of the particles to the surface through the capillary tube can evaporate precisely from the surface of the particles. If the intake temperature is too high, it is likely to form a surface shell, which will hinder or even prevent moisture from being transported from deeper layers to the outside. This will delay the entire drying process rather than accelerate it.
For process variants such as spray granulation, spray agglomeration or spraying, it should be noted that not only the moisture needs to be continuously evaporated until the defined residual value is reached, but also drying needs to be carried out throughout the spraying process. Excessive intake temperature may lead to insufficient liquid bridge, unstable particle structure, and uneven appearance of the film.
Under reasonable use, fluidized bed drying can provide an efficient solution, bringing soft and uniform drying to your products.
3、 Structure:
YC-310 multi-function spray granulator top spray device is composed of a conical pot body and an expansion chamber. Because the pot body is conical, ensuring the fountain fluidization state in the pot body, the air inlet airflow pushes the materials in the pot body upward into the expansion chamber. Since the diameter of the expansion chamber is larger than the air inlet at the bottom of the pot body, the air inlet speed drops, and the materials drop because their gravity is greater than the wind force, and the materials move back and forth in the pot body and expansion chamber. There are multiple spray gun installation ports at the top of the expansion chamber, which can be used to spray atomized liquid during granulation and coating processes. Top spray can be applied in various fields such as drying, granulation, and masking coating.
The bottom spray device of YC-310 multi-function spray granulator is composed of a conical pot body and a built-in guide cylinder. The bottom of the pot body adopts a double air inlet structure to control the air flow inside and outside the guide cylinder. The material moves upward at high speed inside the guide tube, enters the expansion chamber, and falls outside the guide tube, thus circulating. The atomizing spray gun is installed at the center of the guide tube, spraying liquid from bottom to top in the same direction as the material and airflow. Bottom spray is mainly used for functional coating of various microspheres and granules.
