1、 Product principle
The magnetostrictive level gauge does not require a PLC display and comes with the HART protocol. This magnetostrictive level gauge is a two-wire, multifunctional, float type device that can be used for measuring clean liquid levels suitable for high-precision requirements in ordinary or explosion-proof environments. The magnetostrictive level gauge can be used to measure the boundary between two different liquids using a dual float type. This product is mainly used for industrial measurement and control of liquid levels in various tanks such as petroleum, chemical raw material storage, industrial processes, biochemistry, medicine, food and beverage, tank area management, and underground inventory of gas stations. It is also used for monitoring dam water levels, reservoir water levels, and sewage treatment.
2、 Technical advantages
Magnetostrictive level gauges are suitable for high-precision measurement of clean liquid levels, with an accuracy of up to 1mm. The accuracy of new products can already reach 0.1mm. Magnetostrictive level gauges can also be used for boundary measurement between two different liquids. Explosion proof design, suitable for hazardous environments, intelligent electronic circuit design can calculate the volume; The movable components are all floats, which require low maintenance.
3、 Measurement principle
When the sensor of the magnetostrictive liquid level gauge is working, the circuit part of the sensor will excite a pulse current on the waveguide wire. When the current propagates along the waveguide wire, a pulse current magnetic field will be generated around the waveguide wire. A float is installed outside the measuring rod of the magnetostrictive liquid level gauge, which can move up and down along the measuring rod with the change of liquid level. There is a set of magnetic rings inside the float. When the pulse current magnetic field meets the magnetic ring magnetic field generated by the float, the magnetic field around the float changes, causing the waveguide wire made of magnetostrictive material to generate a torsional wave pulse at the position of the float. This pulse is transmitted back along the waveguide wire at a fixed speed and detected by the detection mechanism. The position of the float, i.e. the liquid level, can be determined accurately by measuring the time difference between the pulse current and the torsional wave.
4、 Product advantages

2. High precision: Due to the use of waveguide pulses in magnetostrictive liquid level gauges, the measured displacement is determined by measuring the time of the starting and ending pulses during operation, resulting in high measurement accuracy and resolution better than 0.01% FS.
3. Good safety: With high explosion-proof performance, it can achieve intrinsic safety explosion-proof or isolated explosion-proof, especially suitable for measuring chemical raw materials and flammable liquids.
4. Easy to install and maintain: Generally installed through existing pipe openings on the top of the tank, it is particularly suitable for the installation of underground storage tanks and operational storage tanks, and can be installed without affecting normal production.
