When the digital multifunctional machine is used in a humid environment, water droplets are formed when moist air meets cold air. These droplets can cause the toner to condense together, blocking the passage of the toner or affecting the effect of the copy, leaving traces of water droplets on the surface of the copy. In addition, water droplets can also have a certain impact on the circuit of the digital multifunctional machine, which may cause short circuits. The installation position and working principle of the moisture-proof electric heater. Taking the Toshiba digital multifunctional machine as an example, we will explain the installation position of the automatic moisture-proof heater. Figure 1 shows the position of the automatic moisture-proof applicator on the digital multifunctional machine.

Installation location instructions for moisture-proof electric heater:
1. (DH1) Scanner moisture-proof heater (left, red part).
2. (DH2) Scanner moisture-proof heater (right, red part).
3. (DH3) Moisture resistant heater for photosensitive drum (blue part).
4. (DH4) Paper box moisture-proof heater (blue part).
5. (THMO4) Scanner moisture heater thermostat (blue part).
6. (THMO5) Drum moisture-proof heater thermostat (blue part).
7. (THMO6) Paper box moisture-proof heater thermostat (blue part). In humid environments, in order to ensure the quality of copying, the automatic moisture-proof electric heater automatically starts heating after connecting the power cord of the laminating machine to ensure that the equipment scanning, copying and other systems are in a dry state. However, when the equipment switch is turned on and the laminating machine starts working, the control circuit of the heater will automatically turn off the power of the moisture-proof electric heater, causing the automatic moisture-proof electric heater to power off and stop. After the composite machine shuts down and stops working for 2 seconds, the moisture-proof electric heater will automatically start. When the appropriate temperature is reached, the temperature control circuit of the moisture-proof heater will control the heater to cut off power and stop heating, thereby ensuring the working quality of the composite machine. The automatic moisture-proof heater of a typical digital multifunctional machine uses a 220V, 50Hz AC power supply with an internal fuse. The surface of the multifunctional machine is equipped with a control switch to ensure its own safety and reliability.
The main components of an automatic moisture-proof heater
1. The automatic moisture-proof heater in the scanner part is a moisture-proof electric heater that wraps a thin copper wire around the insulation layer. When the thin copper wire is energized, it generates heat to achieve moisture-proof effect.
2. The automatic moisture-proof heater for the photosensitive drum uses PTC automatic temperature control ceramic heater, as shown in Figure 3. It uses special ceramic materials. The principle of PTC heater constant temperature heating is that when the PTC heating element is first powered on, because the temperature of the ceramic material is close to room temperature, its resistance is small, so the initial current is large, which can quickly heat up the PTC heating element. After the temperature of the PTC heating element increases, its resistance value rapidly increases and enters the transition zone, which can make the current passing through the PTC heating element very small. Due to the characteristic of the resistance value of PTC heating element changing with the temperature of PTC heating element, the surface temperature of PTC heating element always remains constant. This temperature is only related to the temperature of PTC heating element and the applied voltage, and is basically independent of the ambient temperature. In small and medium power heating applications, PTC heaters have advantages that traditional heating components cannot match, such as constant temperature heating, no open flame, high heat conversion rate, minimal influence from power supply voltage, and long natural life.
