OMRDON 25KAI Surge Protection Device (SPD) (also known as lightning arrester, surge protector, overvoltage protector) has high lightning current capability and is suitable for electromagnetic pulse (EMP) protection generated by lightning strikes in TN-S, TN-C-S, TT, IT and other power supply systems with AC 380V (50Hz/60Hz) and below. It is used at the junction of LPZ OA or LPZB area and LPZ1 area in lightning strike areas
Precautions for installation of lightning arrester:
1. This SPD should be installed in parallel. Generally, only one of the two terminals needs to be connected, or a dual connection method (Kevin connection method) can be used. The connecting wire should be firm and reliable, and should be short, thick, and straight.
2. Please connect according to the installation diagram during installation, where L1, L2, and L3 are phase wires, N is neutral wire, and PE is ground wire. Do not connect them incorrectly. After installation, close the automatic circuit breaker (fuse) switch.
3. It is recommended to connect a fuse or automatic circuit breaker in series at the front end of the SPD. Ensure to avoid short circuits causing fires after the deterioration of lightning arresters.
4. Remember not to carry out live work, the power must be cut off before installation, and live operation is strictly prohibited.
5. The grounding must be good and comply with relevant national lightning protection regulations
6. The equipment needs to be regularly inspected and replaced immediately after product degradation.
Product application and installation location:
The OMRDON Class I series surge protectors are suitable for the interface between LPZOA or LPZOB areas and LPZ1 areas in lightning strike zones. They are usually installed in parallel at the main distribution cabinet or floor distribution cabinet of the buried conduit incoming low-voltage household end.
