Working principle of LED street light lightning arrester
Surge protective device (SPD) is an indispensable device in lightning protection of electronic equipment. Its working principle is that under normal circumstances, the SPD is in a very high resistance state to ensure the normal operation of the power system; When there is a surge overvoltage or overcurrent on the system circuit, the resistance of the SPD suddenly changes or continues to decrease to low impedance, and the SPD immediately conducts in nanoseconds, releasing the surge energy into the ground through the SPD; After the surge, the surge protector quickly returns to a high resistance state, so as not to affect the normal power supply of the system.
Precautions for Installing Lightning Protection Devices for LED Street Lights
All ports at the output end of the lightning arrester are connected to the protected equipment.
2. Do not connect the live and neutral wires in reverse or incorrectly.
3. The closer the lightning arrester is installed at the front end of the protected equipment, the better the effect.
4. The equipment needs to be regularly inspected and replaced immediately after product degradation.
5. Remember not to carry out live work.
6. The grounding must be good and the grounding resistance should not exceed 4 ohms.
