Overview

The OTT Qliner2 itself is a small acoustic Doppler flow measurement system that uses ultrasonic sensors on a small boat to measure cross-sectional flow velocity in the river channel. The operator uses a PDA to connect the sensor via Bluetooth, and the data can be analyzed and stored in real time. The sensor uses four acoustic beams to monitor cross-sectional flow. Qliner2 is suitable for measuring small and medium-sized natural rivers as well as artificial channels. Through PDA for convenient and effective control, it is possible to quickly measure the fixed-point flow velocity, cross-sectional flow velocity distribution, and cross-sectional flow rate of rivers. During the use of Qliner2, users need to first determine the vertical line of the river section, use ropes to drag the small boat along the determined route, and stay at each vertical line for 30 seconds to 1 minute in order to obtain stable and accurate measurement results.
