The reflected pulse signal is transmitted along the cable or pole to the electronic circuit of the instrument, and the microprocessor processes the signal to identify the echo generated by the microwave pulse on the surface of the material. The correct recognition of echo signals is completed by intelligent software, and the distance D from the material surface is proportional to the time travel T of the pulse: D=C × T/2, where C is the speed of light. Installation Guide
The following installation guidelines apply to cable and rod probes for measuring solid powders and liquid objects. Coaxial tube probes are only suitable for liquid objects.
Installation location:
Try to stay away from the discharge and feed ports as much as possible.
For metal and plastic cans, they should not collide with walls throughout the entire range. If it is a metal tank, do not install the level gauge on the tank.
It is recommended to install it at 1/4 of the diameter of the silo.
The distance between the cable probe or pole probe and the tank wall should not be less than 300mm, and it is recommended to be greater than or equal to 500mm.
The bottom of the probe is approximately 30mm away from the bottom of the tank.
The distance between the probe and the obstacle in the tank should not be less than 200mm.
If the bottom of the container is conical, the sensor can be installed on the top of the tank *, so that it can measure all the way to the bottom of the tank.

The following figure is the installation diagram of the pole type radar, mainly used for liquid level measurement.

Liquid materials with relatively low dielectric constants can be measured using coaxial tube measurement to ensure accurate measurement.

Installation method
Reasonable installation can ensure reliable measurement of instruments.
The instrument can be connected with threads, and the height of the threaded installation pipe should not exceed 100mm. It can also be installed on a short pipe. If the diameter of the short pipe is between 2 "and 6", the height of the short pipe should be ≤ 100mm. If it is installed on a longer short pipe, a cable probe should be fixed at the bottom or a centering bracket should be selected to avoid contact with the end of the short pipe.

Installation of DN200 or DN250 inside short pipes
When the instrument needs to be installed on a short tube with a diameter greater than 200mm, echoes are generated on the inner wall of the short tube, which can cause measurement errors when the dielectric constant of the medium is low. Therefore, for a short pipe with a diameter of 200mm or 250mm, a special flange with a "horn interface" needs to be selected.

● Install on plastic cans
Attention!
Whether it is cable or pole type, in order for the instrument to work properly, the process connection surface should be made of metal. When the instrument is installed on a plastic can, if the top of the can is also made of plastic or other non-conductive material, the instrument needs to be equipped with a metal flange. If threaded connection is used, a metal plate needs to be equipped.

Measuring principle
