A certain shoe manufacturer used parallel robots to complete the gluing task on the sole of shoes during the production and processing process. With the help of the assembly line rhythm, the sole gluing work can be fully automated with high qualification rate. This sole coating workstation uses a Burkent parallel robot, combined with Omron vision system. The visual system processes the coordinate trajectory of the sole to be glued based on the collected image information and communicates it to the parallel robot. Based on this trajectory, the Burkent parallel robot cooperates with the PLC to dispense glue from the glue gun and apply glue to various shoe soles according to the process requirements.
