2、 Working principle

HTGF seriesPolyurethane circular gear flowmeterThe working principle of the flowmeter is the positive displacement principle, where the flow of the medium causes the gears to rotate. The flowmeter has high machining accuracy and precise installation. The rotation of gears is scanned non-contact, and each gear generates a pulse with relatively high resolution. Gear flowmeter can measure very small flow rates and quantify small volumes of liquid media. Under the action of fluid flow, a pressure difference is formed at the inlet and outlet of the instrument, and a pair of gears continuously rotate on the shaft. The cavity between the gears is filled with liquid, and the liquid is discharged as it rotates. By measuring the number of revolutions of the gears, the liquid flow rate through the instrument can be determined. The speed of the flowmeter is monitored by a sensing coil installed outside the casing. When the flowmeter blades cut the magnetic field lines generated by the long-term magnet inside the casing, it will cause changes in the magnetic flux in the sensing coil. The sensing coil sends the detected periodic change signal of the magnetic flux to the preamplifier, amplifies and shapes the signal, generates a pulse signal proportional to the flow rate, and sends it to the unit conversion and integrator circuit to obtain and display the flow value. At the same time, the pulse signal is also sent to the frequency current conversion circuit, which converts the pulse signal into an analog current quantity and displays the instantaneous flow value.

4、 Precautions for installation of circular gear flowmeter

(1) The circular gear flowmeter should be cleaned before installation. If the liquid contains solid particles, a filter must be installed upstream of the pipeline; If it contains gas, an exhaust device should be installed.

(2) The circular gear flowmeter does not have certain requirements for the front and rear straight pipe sections. It can be installed horizontally or vertically. During installation, the elliptical gear rotation axis of the flowmeter should be parallel to the ground.

(3) The circular gear flowmeter installed correctly according to the requirements can ensure sufficient accuracy during use, and the accuracy of the cumulative value can usually reach level 0.5, making it a relatively accurate flow measuring instrument. However, if the flow rate of the measured medium is too low during use, the impact of instrument leakage errors will become prominent, and sufficient measurement accuracy cannot be guaranteed. Therefore, different models and specifications of elliptical gear flow meters have an allowable value for small flow rates, and the measurement accuracy can only be guaranteed when the actual measured flow rate is greater than the lower limit flow rate allowable value.

(4) Secondly, when using an elliptical gear flowmeter, it is important to note that the temperature of the measured medium should not be too high, otherwise it will not only increase measurement errors but also have the potential to cause gear jamming. Therefore, the elliptical gear flowmeter is used within the specified temperature range of the instrument.

(5) After long-term use, the internal gears of the elliptical gear flowmeter will be corroded and worn, which will affect the measurement accuracy. Therefore, it is important to regularly observe and dismantle for inspection, and if conditions permit, calibrate regularly.
