Brief introduction

VOCs are a general term for a series of volatile organic compounds, which are important atmospheric pollutants. When present in the air, they undergo chemical reactions to produce fine particles such as secondary aerosols (SOA), as well as chemical pollution caused by the generation of ozone.

At present, VOCs emissions in China mainly include two parts: anthropogenic sources and natural sources. The former includes vehicle exhaust and industrial emissions, while the latter includes plant volatilization. At present, industrial VOCs are the main battlefield for control in China. Among them, petrochemical and packaging printing are at the forefront as pilot industries!

2、 Industry Applications

The current national standards for VOCs are mainly concentrated in industries such as petrochemicals, chemicals, oil storage and transportation, plastic, rubber, leather products, as well as social services, furniture, and batteries. Local standards are mainly distributed in industries such as biopharmaceuticals, automotive painting, and printing. As of this year, there are currently 76 organic pollutant projects.

3、 Product Features

4、 Principle

The PID photoionization detector uses a vacuum ultraviolet lamp (UV) with a specific ionization energy (such as 10.6eV) to generate ultraviolet light. When organic gas molecules bombard gas molecules in the ionization chamber, the organic molecules contained in the gas are ionized and broken into positively charged ions and negatively charged electrons. Under the electric field of the polarizing plate, the ions and electrons collide with the plate, forming a detectable weak ion current.

The gas around the air is extracted into the system through an extraction pump, impurities in the air are filtered through a micro filter, water vapor is removed through a micro water barrier, and finally enters the detector for analysis to remove impurities and the impact of water vapor on the sensor, ensuring measurement accuracy.
