Product Details

1.1 Level measurement solution

High frequency radar level gauge (powder coal bin level gauge) is a non-contact high-frequency radar level gauge that uses the pulse principle. It can be widely used to measure the distance, level, volume, weight, and open channel flow of liquids, slurries, and viscous substances. It can also be used to measure solid media such as powders, particles, and blocks. Even in applications with high dust and agitation, stable measurement can still be achieved.

1.2 Measurement principle

The high-frequency radar level gauge emits extremely narrow and low-energy microwave pulse signals through the antenna. This pulse signal is transmitted at the speed of light in space and reflects off the measured medium. The reflected signal is received by the instrument, and the time interval between the transmitted and received pulse signals is proportional to the distance from the reference plane to the surface of the measured medium. By measuring the time interval between transmission and reception, the distance between the antenna and the surface of the medium can be measured.

1.3 Technical advantages

Adopting a transmission frequency of up to 26GHz

High frequency and signal-to-noise ratio are the choices for low dielectric constant media

Small beam angle, concentrated energy, stronger anti-interference ability, greatly improving measurement accuracy and reliability

The measurement blind spot is smaller, and excellent results can also be achieved for measuring small cans

Shorter wavelength for better level measurement of small particle media and inclined media surfaces

Sensitive measurement, fast refresh rate, small antenna size, easy installation, sturdy and durable, maintenance free

Non contact measurement,wear-freepollution-free,Measurable levels of liquid and solid media

Almost unaffected by temperature, pressure, steam, foam, dust and other complex working conditions

Adopting a two-wire loop power supply technology, the power supply voltage and output signal are transmitted through a two core cable, saving costs

Adopting advanced microprocessors and unique echo processing technology, it can be applied to various complex working conditions

Extremely low transmission power, can be installed in various metal and non-metal containers, and has no harm to the human environment

A display screen with buttons allows for easy setting of instrument parameters

5 Installation

5.1 Preparation before installation

Please pay attention to the following items to ensure that the instrument can be installed correctly:

Please ensure that there are no interfering objects directly below the process connection! Otherwise, it will lead to measurement errors!

Please reserve sufficient installation space!

Please avoid strong sunlight on the signal converter and install a protective cover if necessary!

Please avoid installation environments with strong vibrations!

Multiple high-frequency radar level gauges can be installed on the same container!

To ensure fast, convenient, and safe installation of this instrument, please follow the following installation instructions!

5.2 Installation guidance

To avoid measurement errors and instrument malfunctions, please follow the following precautions!

5.3 Basic Requirements

When an antenna emits microwave pulses, there is a certain emission angle. There shall be no obstacles in the area radiated by the microwave emission angle from the lower edge of the thread or flange to the surface of the measured medium. Therefore, during installation, it is advisable to avoid facilities inside the tank as much as possible, such as ladders, limit switches, heating equipment, brackets, etc. If necessary, 'false echo learning' must be performed when the tank is empty. Additionally, it should be noted that the microwave emission angle radiation area must not intersect with the feeding material flow. When installing instruments, it is also important to note that the highest material level must not enter the measurement blind zone of the instrument, and the instrument must be kept at a certain distance from the tank wall. The installation of the instrument should be as perpendicular as possible to the emission direction of the antenna and the surface of the measured medium. Instruments installed in explosion-proof areas must comply with the installation regulations of national explosion-proof hazardous areas. The casing of explosion-proof instruments is made of die cast aluminum material. When explosion-proof instruments are installed in places with explosion-proof requirements, the instruments must be grounded.
