1、 Definition and core functions

Definition: A programmable high and low temperature test chamber is a temperature environment testing device controlled by a microprocessor program.

Core function: It can automatically execute complex temperature change curves through pre-set multi-stage programs, including heating, cooling, and constant temperature residence, and can run cyclically. The core lies in "program control" and "automatic operation".

2、 Core Systems and Technologies

1. Refrigeration system

Refrigeration method: mechanical compression refrigeration.

Refrigeration cycle:

Single stage compression refrigeration: suitable for standard temperature range (such as -20 ℃~+150 ℃).

Cascade compression refrigeration: used to expand the low-temperature range (such as -40 ℃, -70 ℃, -80 ℃). Two independent high-temperature and low-temperature refrigeration cycles are coupled through a cascade heat exchanger.

Core components:

Compressor: Adopting brand semi closed or fully closed compressors.

Condenser: air-cooled (common) or water-cooled (efficient).

Evaporator: finned heat exchanger.

Throttle device: capillary tube or thermal expansion valve.

2. Heating system

Method: Using nickel chromium alloy resistance wire heater, usually installed in the air duct.

Control: Solid state relays are used for PID regulation to achieve contactless continuous or proportional control.

3. Air circulation system

Composition: Composed of a centrifugal fan, a driving motor, and an air duct.

Function: Force air flow inside the box to ensure temperature uniformity.

4. Control system (core)

Controller: dedicated programmable temperature controller or industrial touch screen+PLC combination. This is the key to achieving 'programmable' functionality.

Control algorithm: PID (Proportional Integral Derivative) control algorithm is adopted, which has self-tuning function and can automatically optimize control parameters.

Programming function:

Multi segment program: Multiple programs can be set, each program can contain up to tens or even hundreds of segments.

Segment settings: Each segment can independently set target temperature, operating time, and slope (heating/cooling rate).

Loop function: supports loop within program segments and link loop between programs.

Interface and Communication: USB, RS-232, or RS-485 interfaces are standard for program transmission, data recording, and remote monitoring.

5. Sensors

Temperature: Pt100 platinum resistor.

3、 Main technical parameters

1. Temperature parameters

Temperature range: e.g. -70 ℃~+150 ℃ (depending on refrigeration configuration).

Temperature fluctuation: ≤± 0.5 ℃ (in a stable state).

Temperature uniformity: ≤ 2.0 ℃ (in a stable state).

Heating and cooling rate:

Average speed: 1 ℃~3 ℃/min (average throughout the entire process). This is a non-linear temperature change, and the device executes according to the slope set by the program.

2. Structural parameters

Inner box material: SUS304 stainless steel.

Outer box material: cold-rolled steel plate sprayed or SUS304 stainless steel.

Insulation material: high-density glass fiber cotton or rigid polyurethane foam.

Observation window: multi-layer hollow electric heating anti fog glass.

Test lead hole: standard for the box.

4、 Performance and reliability analysis

1. Program control performance

Program followability: The ability of the device's actual temperature curve to track the program's set curve. High performance controllers can reduce tracking errors and accurately reproduce preset temperature profiles.

Overshoot control: During temperature range transition, the control system should be able to effectively suppress temperature overshoot and ensure the rigor of testing conditions.

2. Temperature performance

Uniformity and fluctuation: are core indicators for measuring the design and manufacturing process of box foundations, directly affecting the comparability and accuracy of test results.

3. Long term operational stability

The equipment needs to have the reliability to run continuously for weeks or even months under program control. The quality of core components and the stability of the control system are key.

4. Data recording and traceability

The equipment should be able to fully record the entire operating time, temperature settings, actual values, and equipment status, support data export, and meet the traceability requirements of the quality system.

5. Security protection system

Electrical safety: overload, leakage, and short circuit protection.

System Safety: Compressor Overpressure/Overheating/Overcurrent Protection, Heater Overheating Protection, Workshop Independent Overtemperature Protector.

Program safety: power-off protection function, can automatically resume operation or start safely after power on.
